It is amazing that two brother, Christopher (an atheist) and Peter (a Christian) Hitchens were both men who think with their minds on logic and reason and always spoke out against what they saw was authoritarian. I’m glad that Doug Wilson has been able to talk with both Hitchens brothers

I’ve learned quite a bit about England by listening to Mr. Hitchens over the last four or five years. I read his book “The Abolition of Britain” and am currently reading a book he’s cited quite often “The Deluge” by Adam Tooze.

I Applaud Peter Hitchens and this Gentlemen. Peter, I have been following for 20 Years. He is one of the most Eminent Intelligent Articulate and Honest Journalists we have today. He says it how it is, and he does not care who he upsets either. He is one of the most Intellectual Speakers I have ever known, and I have never seen him to be wrong. The Interviewer is Fantastic. He actually 'Allows' his Guest to answer a question!! Compare this man, to the Utterly Ridiculous Incomprehensible - Piers Morgan? Absolutely no comparison!

Peter never allows a serious issue to be trivialised. When he debates people who try to use 'zingers' (as is so popular these days) to mischaracterise his position or to humiliate, he returns with deadly seriousness - it's a real gift of substance in argument. We need more of that to take on the trivial late-night news clowns.

Little jokes at the expense of your opponent or little comical insults that make you look quick-on-the-draw and thus make your opponent look bad unless you come up with one to fire back with basically instantly. Quips or jokey insults.

Good to see Peter Hitchens with Doug Wilson again. If these ludicrous restrictions are ever lifted, I hope that Mr. Wilson will travel to London or Oxford to interview Mr. Hitchens to return the favour of the latter's visit to Moscow a few years ago.

Why does Hitchens think "everyone" believes the Government over here? I'm over here and I've never believed the Government, I've always been on Peter's side on this issue. I think many are like me.

I think the issue is not enough debate publicly on the issue so maybe he feels he's the only one with a voice that's openly disputing this. I've been finding it harder and harder to find people like him speaking out that aren't being censored. I don't think there is no-one on his side just not enough openly opposing these draconian measures. I've felt like I'm the only one in my circle of friends opposing this. Have felt pretty ostracized personally and I don't have half the UK shouting abuse at me. It's frightening how many people are lapping up the fear and panic and are impossible to talk to on the matter.

How does that comment have any reference to my post? Im pointing out Peter says he feels like he's the only one with this opinion. I, and many others share the opinion. Peter Hitchens is obviously talking absolute sense! The government's reaction is ludicrous! The depression we're about to experience is wholly based on the government's over reaction... the government's bullsh1t is so tiresome, time and time again they make such massive mistakes with huge negative impact. Thank you peter 100% agree with you I work in nhs as a senior nurse but like you am criticised for not agreeing with the shutdown of the economy and the next level of madness is that I will be forced to wear a mask all day at work good grief can this actually be reality I’m reminded of a old film about a Roman emperor Caligula when he started mehing meh meh like a sheep and to his disbelief they all started to meh back

I concur about the opposition's lack of scrutiny; it is a crucial point. There's no scrutiny or intelligent debate in parliament anymore about important issues. Strangely, trivial issues which have little effect on people receive the most scrutiny. Why is this?

(And some of the USA) The "Total State" in any formerly CHRISTIAN country is in open rebellion to God and aims to replace HIM 'en toto'. When I watched this video 8 months had passed since its production. I am amazed how naïve such a reknowned scholar is. Peter Hitchens needs to do some research on British history around Cecil Rhodes and his disciples and their subsequent organization, the Pilgrim Society which was founded in London in 1902. Unlike Hitchens, I believe "Conspiracy Theories" are real .... because of the facts I have learned through my own research in the past 10 years.

I think that something nasty has been going around. I know of two people that were in hospital with blood clots on their lungs in January. If they had it I was fully exposed to it (I took one to the hospital and the other was in my office) and have remain asymptomatic throughout. What I think is suspicious is the lack of transparent debate between scientists in MSM. If asymptomatic people do not spread the virus then the argument for lockdown was a fallacy and so far from the norm; we protect the vulnerable by getting herd immunity in the healthy population. There is an agenda to have us wear masks despite there being more evidence pointing to them being dangerous then beneficial; I think it's symbolic, to silence us. I think there is a depopulation agenda which will be hastened by Bill Gates's vaccines.

@Eve Oakley I'm pleased she peacefully. This is the scandal that people who die with the virus not from the virus are being recorded as COVID-19 deaths inflating the figures. As sad as any death is, shutting down the world when the vast majority who succumb are the very elderly and infirm, or chronologically youger people but whom have serious health issues (morbid obesity, Type II Diabetes.

In an age where the minority is looked after, the majority is ignored, the priority, is normally given to the minority, these days, with this virus, the short comings of that are only to apparent, and governments are being forced to deal with that policy in a very realistic way, which is funny, as the pc mind set is such a fragile thing. Therefore, this dealing with reality is painful for them, and it will take a long time for them to address in a contextual way. This came to me whilst was doing some soup
