Videos like this really make me appreciate The Boys season 2 slogan "girls get it done". Fun fact actually, when preparing to write for season 2 of the boys, one of the female writers came into the room after just seeing avengers endgame. She was so angry about the blatant feminism corporate scene that she came into the writing room immediately making sure that The Boys season 2 has some focus on the hypocrisy of corporate feminism. I've noticed that the male heroes in the MCU are no longer beating the bad guys. Thor (including Strange) didn't defeat/kill the big bad villain in their OWN movie. Jane broke the necro sword and Chavez stopped Wanda's rampage.

Wonda, a woman, lost her husband and two imaginary sons, so we're supposed to root for her when she enslaved a whole town of innocent people in Wandavision. And massacred numerous heroes and bystanders in MOM. Thor, a man, lost his entire home world, his father, his throne, his eye, his hammer which he fought with for his whole life, many of his people, and a lot more. But we should laugh at him for feeling down. Modern day equality.

I don’t understand why people have to say “strong” before saying female when talking about a woman character. Being female doesn’t mean you are inherently weak. I don’t know why women believe this about themselves. Saying “strong female” character is dumb because it’s indicating that somehow that by not mentioning strong female that you are by default saying weak if you just say female.

As someone who loves most of the female characters in Marvel, the way they're portraying these characters nowadays are trash. Valkyrie and Captain Marvel are the worst ones. Not to mention that corny girl power moment in Endgame which was random as hell. I'm actually afraid for X-Men because my favorites like Storm & Rogue will most likely be ruined.

I've always thought that cringy "Girl power" scene from Endgame was Feige´s personal grudge with Sony against Spider-Man. It was really beautiful to see No Way Home crushing all of MSheU's failed attempts.

That moment is really one of the stupidest in all film. All major female fighters just happen to be in the same place to fight Thanos at the exact same moment. The one with Thanos' top female fighter in Infinity War is so much more believable.

I had disliked other MCU movies, but Iron Man 3 was the first time I felt like Disney was intentionally insulting me. I accepted that Disney/MCU hated its comic book fans at that point.

To be completely honest, as a feminist and a person who generally supports representation and inclusivity in the industry, i absolutely hate the "woke and feminist" bullshit marvel is creating. We are no longer getting great characters with interesting backstories and compelling storylines, we're getting female characters who's only characteristic is their gender/ race nothing else about them truly matters or is even compelling. Not the mention they are writing the most toxic nonsensical characters and expect us to praise them simply because they're female, it's just dumb, demeaning and just disrespectful to the fans who support them.

I've been indifferent about the MCU since 2021. Besides Spider-Man No Way Home, majority of Phase 4 has been either terrible or mediocre at best. Eternals & Black Widow were terrible, Shang Chi was meh, and Falcon & Winter Soldier was mediocre. I didn't see Ms Marvel nor do I plan to and after the stuff I've heard about Thor Love & Thunder, I'm not watching it either.

You can write a strong female character, there are many like Sarah Conner, Buffy and Ripley and many female character in most slasher movies that are weak but eventually kill the killer in the end. Problem now is all woman have to be better than men in everyway and need no help. Also they are written in a way they get everything handed to them, they never earn the powers they have. Black Widow was great in Avengers because she used "Helpless woman" as a way to get what she wanted. Being feminine can be a strengh. All female chacters dont need to knock out a man 3 times their weight in one punch to be seen as strong.

You could have also included Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and Sarah Conners (Linda Hamilton) as strong female characters that are legendary icons of movie history. I don’t know of any man who doesn’t consider those women as strong and heroic as any male action hero from movies. I’m sure that you have to also like those strong women characters.

If they just had to have Valkyrie? She should’ve been a fellow gladiator in the arena. That way her backstory would’ve made more sense, her animosity toward Thor would’ve made more sense and ultimately the”team up” would’ve made more sense.

The problem with the girl power scene in Endgame is that it just takes you out the movie. It's not an organic moment and it makes you go well this was obviously forced into the whole thing as a political statement to the point that it actually harms what is supposed to be the climax of the whole MCU leading up to that point. It breaks immersion when I'm thinking why the director and Disney put this scene in the movie rather than me actually enjoying what is going on in the storyline itself. That's not to say this is the only flaw in endgame since it is a rather flawed end. It's definitely not as bad as some of the worst marvel has given us, but it definitely is one of the worst Avengers movies. Both the original and Infinity War are leagues better. It might be better than Age of Ultron, but even then I'm not sure. Age of Ultron just was kind meh all through, but never felt absolutely bad. Endgame instead has some moments that are great, but then also some things that are awful. So it's hard to say which is better/worse as a whole between the two.

Anyone else love how Disney/Marvel just ignore actual cool female characters. Do you know how much I craved a Storm stand a lone film? Shame that would be butchered with whatever shitty writer they have on hand today. A lot of the latest Marvel characters have some of the most warped moral compasses I've seen. Like Wanda is a legit psychopath who Disney try to push as a victim and that we should be sad for her despite mind controlling an entire village. All of my favourite Marvel characters were retired/butchered after end-game. Obviously no more Iron man, Captain America, Black widow or Hawkeye (Yes he got a TV series and a widow a film but they're not going to be remembered). Hulk got all his development off screen in end game. Like he loses a fight against Thanos in Infinite War and Hulk just bitches out and lets Banner have control forever. I don't know how much longer Guardians will go for as I imagine the actors will tire of their roles soonish. The fact they're trying to use comic characters whose comic's would only run for a short period before getting cancelled cause no-one bought them (Meanwhile the Manga industry is doing perfectly fine almost like they care for their work). America Chavez and Ms Marvel are both characters which have more retcons than some characters who've existed for years. Remember how well that Avengers game did with Marvel as lead character? The fact they're using bottom of the barrel characters really screams how bad they're doing. They should have just done a reset and got a new actor for Iron man and everyone else. I don't think anyone will be re-watching any of the phase 4 films outside of Spider-man. What big bad are they even building up to? The celestials? Galactus (Despite him being butchered in several other films)?

It should have ended after Endgame.

I’m just relieved it’s not just me. I’m a husband and father with four women surrounding me and they freakin hate these MCU movies for exactly what you described. I just can’t keep up with it all and it’s exhausting. Woke, pronouns, gender identity, CRT all just caused me to stop watching anything under the Disney umbrella.

I respect that you’re not just one of those female hero hating dudes who’s videos I’ve watched. Agreed they screwed/overlooked the Black Widow character. If they fleshed out Valkyrie and let us emphasize with her character’s history she would be much more liked. Instead she decides it’s a better idea to enslave an entire multiverse? I think the latter is much more difficult than the former.

I disagree with Caps way out of the Avengers. First off, I came out of the theater shaking my head in disappointment with Endgame. Only Tony and Black Widow went out as bosses. Those were heroic deaths. Both Cap and Thor were trashed in Endgame and I don’t see how no one else is embarrassed with the way Steve was handled. They turned Steve from Captain America to the newest superhero, Twinkle Toes Rogers. Steve turned his back on Bucky and the entire world in whatever dumb dimension he landed his wrinkled Joe Biden ass in. Steve turned coward, standing on the sidelines of every Avenger’s level threats in history, just so he could use his super soldier endurance winning dance marathons. Twinkle Toes mows his lawn around his picket fence while Loki attacks NY and plays fetch with his dog while Ultron tries to drop Sakovia like an asteroid. They completely ignored every rule of time travel/Quantum tunnel bullshit by somehow having Twinkle Toes Rogers show up at the end, turned into Joe Biden, so he could give Falcon the shield. How did Twinkle Toes get there? He couldn’t have aged in that timeline because once he chickened out from being a hero and danced with Peggy while Redskull was taking over the world, he would have created a new timeline which should have been pruned by the TVA. Don’t give me that shit about him coming back from a different timeline. He didn’t have a time machine, nor any Pym particles to make that trip. Heroes are heroes because they are willing to make the sacrifice. Steve was selected because he proved he was willing to give his life for the safety of others. You can’t have your chicken and eat it to, but somehow the MCU gave Steve a huge piece of chicken to eat. The MCU has turned Cap into a total coward and have also completely destroyed Thor worse. Thor’s destruction started in Endgame. Fat Thor was never funny and if so, only for a minute. That should have been a one scene joke at best. Once Banner told him there was a chance to reverse the snap, Thor should have called down lightning and got back his chiseled physique. One bolt of lighting could change him into his armor and even braid his beard, but not fixed his body? That’s bullshit. Most super heroes get their powers from whatever turn them super. A serum, a spell, gama radiation, bit by radioactive spider, being alien, being a mutant or being dipped in toxic waste, take your pick. It is always more magical and not because they watch their diet and exercise regularly at the gym! Loki tossed Cap around like a rag doll before Ironman saved his ass. Was that because Loki worked out more in the gym? I don’t think of superhero’s being strong that way. Love And Blunder showed Thor in a training montage and that is flat out wrong and stupid. They made Rocket have to complete the mission while Thor cried to his mommy. What a pathetic superhero they have turned him into and I’m pissed because Thor was my favorite character from the MCU. Not what they’ve turned him into now, where he needs Jane’s new CGI Thor figure to save his ass while making him the butt-end of every joke. Thor has become a bumbling idiot, even in his own movies. Why? Thor is a demigod who is over 1,500 years old. No one can live longer than a millennium and not be the wisest and smartest person in the room. It’s just not possible, but Thor has been turned into every dumb jock stereotype that ever existed. Big, dumb and useless in stress situations. It should have been Thor who made the snap to return everyone, not Hulk. It’s called a “through-line” in story telling. Banner had no through-line with Thanos, just one fight, whereas Thor had half his people and his best friend and brother killed by Thanos. Pretty much every friend and family member that hadn’t been already killed by Hela, Thanos finished off, leaving Lady Sif as the only survivor and that’s only because she had another contract responsibility. But the biggest reason was because Thor should have been the one to kill Thanos, but he took pleasure in torturing Thanos too long and he made the snap. It was Thor’s mistake, so it should be his redemption arc to be the one to snap, even if it killed him. He tried to explain that to Tony, but Stark pushed him aside. Who in the hell is Tony to stop the mighty Thor? He was stopped by a cheese wiz joke. Just pitiful. Even if it killed him, he would have went out a boss rather than whatever embarrassing way Marvel has in store for him. If it’s as bad as what they did to Twinkle Toes Rogers, I'm not interested. That includes ignoring his best friend Bucky while he is being tortured and made into an assassin. It was befitting that they found Joe “Steven” Biden sitting on a bench since Steve had planted his wrinkled, Joe Biden, ass on the bench for every catastrophe since WWII. Heroes take risks and if you can’t take the risk or make the sacrifice, you’re not a hero. Cap falsely accused Tony of being the one not willing to lay down on the wire, when it was him all along. Tony took that risk when he took an atomic bomb into space through a portal he knew would close once his mission was over, trapping him in space for eternity. Tony took that risk when he and Thor stayed to the last second to blow Sakovia, not knowing if theyd survive. Then Tony finally made the ultimate sacrifice in Endgame, which really wasn’t necessary since Captain Marvel could have easily slipped on that Gauntlet and snap away. She instead she continued to fly towards a time machine she had no Pym particles to use and didn’t know the times and places to return the stones, just what in the hell was she thinking? She also wasted time walking, so she could have that all female walk scene. She didnt need their help, she could destroy all of them. Dumbass writing for sure. Captain Marvel can fly at many times the speed of light, but she was flying so slow over the battlefield that Thanos could toss his sword thing right past her like she was standing still. What was that? Horrible writing. Infinity War was so great, but Endgame was atrocious. I couldn’t believe how everyone liked that movie at first? Chris Hemsworth had showed his comedy chops in Ragnarok, but in Infinity War he showed a more vulnerable side. When him and Rocket were talking and Rocket said, what if he wasn’t up to this fight, Thor replied “…then, what more can I lose?” and really showed the dimensions he could bring to the character when the dialogue was well written. Hemsworth’s delivery of that line, while struggling to hold back his tears, seemed genuine. It was what you’d expect someone who had lost so much as Thor to say. Then they just raked his ass over the coals in Endgame, making him a drunk, fat moron standing at the end of every joke. I don’t know how Infinity War could have been written so great and Endgame so horrible. The entire time travel stuff was all mixed up and confusing. Everything the Ancient One told banner was completely ignored for convenience sake. Twinkle Toes at the end just really destroyed any semblance of continuity, like they weren't even trying anymore. Thor should have had a hand in destroying Thanos, but they gave all the heavy lifting to both Banner and Stark. I like Stark’s ending, but can’t stand what they have done to Thor or Steve Rogers. Especially Steve!!! We are told to believe that when the same little guy who leaped on what he thought was a live hand grenade was finally given the muscle that could back up his convictions, that he lost all courage and suddenly no longer thought the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few and coward out of every conflict to become Twinkle Toes Rogers. Just painful and cringeworthy to watch. You can tell I’m pissed about it by my eternally long rant that no one will read, but it’s therapeutic for me to relieve some of the stress the MCU has placed on me with their shitty writing which is encroaching on the horrible writing of Game Of Thrones in its last four seasons. Those writers did the same thing by having Arya kill the Night King. She had absolutely no through-line with the Night King and only learned he existed a week before the battle. Yes, she was a killer, but she wasn’t the one who lost so many friends and comrades to the Night a king like Jon had. Arya’s though-line was Cersei. The Queen was always one of the first names on her list for 8 seasons! How can they miss this? Instead, Cersei gets killed by falling bricks, you gotta be f#$king kidding me? If not Arya, then Jaime would be the next choice to kill her and finish his redemtion arc, but no. They wanted to subvert expectations. I dont think they understand the definition of that phrase? Besides, the only weapon we ever saw Arya train with was sticks. She only beat the Waif because she knocked out the candle and the Waif was too stupid to open the door and let some light in. Beating the Waif is hardly trying to prepare you for the likes of Brienne? She trained as an assassin. Faceless men were more the kimd of warrior to poison you or srangle you in the middle of sleep, not full blown Ninjas. From a story structure point, it was Jon’s destiny to kill the Night King or at least be involved in the final battle with him, just as it was Thor’s destiny to either reverse the snap or to kill Thanos in the end. I dont count that decapitation as kill. Thanos was being held prisoner and had no stones at that time, llke a sitting duck. Thor had the most motivation and the highest score to settle with Thanos.

Pepper dying in Iron Man 3 would have been the nail in the coffin to Tony Stark's hubris throwing him towards the creation of Ultron, Civil War and the need of finding a solution in Endgame: the need to rest but also to solve global problems with or without the avengers

I blame the Russo's for not giving Thor or Hulk any purpose or direction in Endgame. They should have made him an overprotective king, and married to Lady Sif. Then in the 4th film he could have children of his own, and have to face off against Gorr. Then with Hulk they could have shown him having a good life post snap, but slowly starting to lose control again. Showing what he could lose if he loses control. Then at the end he could sacrifice his good life and lose control(world war hulk style and rematches Thanos. Even if he doesn't win, he at least keeps him busy. They could have set the tone for phase 4, but instead they doubled down on jokes and the next phase did the same.

When I watched ragnorok I never thought she was put there for woke reasons. Never occurred to me with the bad batch either. Captain marvel on the other hand felt rushed like it came out of nowhere and was immediately pointed out as woke. At least she didn’t factor into endgame. (Edit: Disney had to use the character Cap’n Marvel or they would have lost possession, which accounts for the sudden movie. All of your complaints are Disney. They also have a knack for hiring horrible writers, or at least hiring the wrong writer. The Kenobi series is the worst of them all. It was a steaming pile all the way through, on every level; writing, editing, terrible direction. They succeeded only in making kenobi the worst Jedi in the long history of Jedi. But enough people liked it that another series is coming. Disney doesn’t seem to grasp story telling and treats the mcu and Star Wars like Lego sets they can rearrange and put on screen. It doesn’t seem like Disney has respect for audience or fans. In my opinion once you try to appease every agenda creating a good story becomes impossible. It’s much better to put it out there and take the twitter mob storm. I don’t believe they make a difference in ratings but they can destroy creativity. People suck!

The only MCU film I am remotely hyped for is Fantastic 4, the rest I could not care less about. Daredevil will lose the creative genius, Blade will go kid friendly, etc!

Funny how these female characters were extremely popular and well liked in the comics, but when brought to the screen they're hated and the people who hate them are accused of sexism. If it was sexism these characters would have been hated from the beginning by the so called sexist. What's really happening is these characters are being bastardized, turned into Mary sues and it sucks, and who's the most mad? Comic book fans who adore these characters.

I think the Taser thing with Thor & Valkyrie was a continuation of a joke. As a Taser was used in Thor 1 (I think?) To knock Thor out. I think it was Darcy who used it on him as she was panicking. What makes me wonder about a continuity error is the fact that you said Carol got her power from the Tesseract. A tesseract that if I remember correctly had been secured in Asgard for who-knows-how-long until Thor 1. Which would mean that Carol getting her powers from it makes no sense.

Ellen Ripley is definitely my favorite "strong female character."

It really hurts for females to be forced to feel "emowered" or "gratefull" for this kind of terrible "representation". It's insolting showing that the only way a girl can be respected or actually achieve something is if she takes something that used to beloing to a man (an identity for example), have no empathy and God forbid, NO FEMINICE TRAITS. Because feminity is weakness and we just need to overcome that! That's what makes us strong, right? Beeing better than man at their own game! Not having our own at all. We need to be strong DESPITE beeing females not WHILE beeing females. Just look at video games - Rivet in Ratchet and Clank. She's a literal genderbended-skin of a main character, and had actuall activists writing her and fighting to defeminize her design because female physical traits are "harmfull" and "problematic" (actuall quotes). To be honest it really did feel like Black widow was just you know a movie for her replacement instead of you know the title character Black widow and it would have been interesting in my opinion to like use the hospital line in the avengers movie and like build on that build her backstory through that because it seemed way more mysterious and interesting then what we got Also introducing her family like out of nowhere like that and if it just focused on Black widow I feel like the movie would have been better and like maybe if they hired somebody from one of her famous stories to write the screenplay and you know I actually take their time and not write it in 11 days

One minute into this video and I already love it.

I was absolutely hammered by my friends and people online for walking out of endgame and giving it a 6. Something just felt off about it. Now I can see that it was just the prototype for all the shite that was coming down the pipe at marvel.

And we’ve yet to have She Hulk being a better Hulk than Bruce and even changing her origin so that it’s not him who actually gives her the powers. Some things never change……

Firstly, that sucks that KZfaq removed your video... your perspective on this has been enlightening and highlighted a lot issues I have with modern Hollywood movies. As a proud feminist, the female characters being written in a lot of mainstream Hollywood today and in recent years lack substance. Please hear me out before trash talking me thanks. I mean this in the regard as you outlined in your video that they are lead characters in response for better female representation (which is needed) instead of what makes sense for the story. This leads to these female character being deemed "mary sues" because of unrealistic plot amour or abilities. They aren't OFTEN shown to have worked hard, learnt lesson and endured development and growth as a person to get them where they are by the end of the plot - like male counterparts usually are. On top of this hollywood potray these woman often very similar how male characters in their place have been potrayed for decades. Please read next paragraph for further clarification on this. The representation we are desperatley after are COMPLEX, three dimensional female characters whose stories are being told from their perspective, including struggles they MAY face in these situations that arise due to being a woman which, suprise, occurs in everyday life as a female not just in superhero story telling situations !! This makes them relatable and gives us a reason to feel invested in them. We want their superhero stories to be told from the female perspective NOT as token gestures for political agendas by corperations like Marvel and Disney. On top of that MOST female characters in the MCU prior to phase 4 served as supporting characters where their entire purpose was to propell the male characters journey along. Yes that is what supporting characters do in any movie/book/ tv series I know. The important thing to highlight is that prior to phase 4 that this was the MOST COMMON role women held in the MCU. The problem with phase 4 is that there is no direction with the overall story. If they were to gender swap, change ethnicity, sexuality etc AND that still stayed true to the character personality, story and source material then I personally do not have a problem with that. As you outlined in this video, Marvel is replacing characters whose story has already been told with new and improved version which happen to be female. This I agree makes these new marvel phases unoriginal and boring. I want stories that are interesting, new, add substain to the marvel universe and propell the overall universe plot forward. If these stories revolve around characters who are female, apart of the LGBTQI+ community, POC, have a disability... awesome we need representation in the media, people should have fictional characters that look like them BUT not for the sake of being a token gesture in an attempt for coperations to appear WOKE. The MCU holds zero interest for me anymore. I enjoyed phase 1 and 2, then found superhero movies boring and formulaic. It stopped being fun or different, because we got used to technology enabling them to be done so well. Then it became corporate driven revenue generation and the quality declined. This was before they then inserted politics into the newer movies. I watched MoM / Strange 2 and actually thought it was okay, but it wasn’t a very good movie compared to the original.

Echo and Agatha are gonna fail big time, although they may have a chance if they massively market other characters to appear in there. She Hulk is gonna depend on Hulk and maybe Daredevil showing up. Like you said. These shows will fail without using the established ones.

Even as poorly as they have done, they still have their hands on the industry, don't they? Despite the consistently weak products being pumped out, they still make the choices on cast, script, etc, in a billion-dollar business. Young viewers have no idea now that there once were good movies. That's the goal, I suspect.

The weirdest thing about marvel movies is when they come out everyone's excited and hyped up. But when you look back at any movie you think, I don't want to watch that movie, that movie sucks... you could have a collection of marvel movies and be like I don't want to watch any of those.. they're like one hit wonders with lots of hit songs you only want to hear one time.. ps I tried to watch morbius twice because I thought I really wanted to watch it but I gave up both times.

The way woke women are depicted is arrogant, OP, with no story arc, no vulnerability and therefore no relatability. The better heroines like Ripley, Sarah Connor, Xena, and The Bride still had to overcome odds and they did not have "sexism to defeat." Give people credit for being able to discern between confidence and arrogance.

I was hoping for a Clint/Natasha movie since the first Avengers and I was hoping instead of big action set pieces it would have been more subdued espionage film. Technically we got a hint of that in Winter Soldier but I would have loved a more character driven story for those two. Because they aren't superhuman, it would have been interesting to see, well, the human side of them. We get glimpses but we never get a full run down of it. Heck, if they did a Hawkeye/Black Widow movie before Age of Ultron it could have done a few things. It could have set up the reveal of Hawkeyes family in the next Age of Ultron, they could have brought in Bruce for brief scene where he helps then and start the romance between him in Natasha or at least drop more hints, AND FINNALY we would get mote character moments between Natasha and Clint so when she dies in Endgame it would have hit MUCH harder. The thing is, Natasha walks the line of morality and Disney doesn't have the balls to make hero's do questionable selfish acts. Sometimes, yeah, specifically with Tony and Quill being womanizers, though that trend is being phased out. But I mean really challenging. I think the best and biggest one that they did do was having Steve hide the truth from Tony about his parents. Other than that... not much else.

The Black Widow movie established that being really good at fighting makes you fireproof and invulnerable to fall damage. This should make life a lot easier for everyone in the "universe". Take Muay Thai classes, and you can walk through a minefield, or jump off of a skyscraper.

It is funny that when we look back in the 90s and that no top grade actor would even think about starring in a superhero flick because it was considered by most at that time to be career suicide and then Wesley Snipes took a shot in Blade it ended up turning a lot of heads who thought that it just might work and then in 2008 it was time to enter the big leagues with Iron Man and the rest as they say is history(but that doesn't mean I discount the Sam R Spider-Man trilogy. They were also an eye opener for the naysayers back then as well). Then the M-SHE-U came in and the violation and woke agenda along with it and well the end result is what we are getting right now and it is only going to get worse. Also another channel looked at phase 5's lineup and he called it "barely alive" and he was right!(Channel's name is HeelvsBabyface)

I remember when Kevin Feige was considered a genius. But then inexplicably he looked at the woke freefall of the printed Marvel Comics and said "Yeah, we need to do exactly the same thing in the movies!" Yeah, brilliant move.

KZfaq REALLY needs to stop moving the goal post, we're GONNA call them out on that bullspit. They should just go back to the rules they set back when KZfaq was FIRST created and be done with it.
