The definition of istihlaal (making something halal) is to testify that something haram (like riba) is halal, the mere action of opening interest banks isn’t sufficient for making riba halal.

Why is something so simple so hard to see, just because u do something haram it doesn’t mean you see it to be halal

السلام عليكم akhi, i’ve been binge watching your videos recently and have found them really beneficial and wanted to ask for a favor. in the various Khuruj videos, you cite a book or paper from Bukhari (RA) where he says that he met more than 1,000 scholars who agreed that Khuruj is haram + 9 other things they agreed on and i was curious about what book/page this is from because i wanted to see what was on the full list of 10 things Bukhari (RA) found Ijma on when he talked to these 1,000 plus scholars over the course of 46 years. (i believe i heard Shaykh Uthman Ibn Farooq quote this same list when establishing that you should raise your hands during prayer) Jazak Allah Khair

Ok walaalkayow, but what if the government makes a law that permits consuming alcohol and giving the liquor stores the right to sell and so? When the imam says it is haram, the layman who is selling counter that with, well it is legal, so go take your case to the authorities!.... isnt that Istihlal then?
