I feel like the story could be a movie. A film maker who gets an inspiration to write a horror movie about a shadowy figure and the more he writes about it, the more it haunts him.

Ok so I looked up the painting : her name was Irene Cahen d’Anvers and was 1 of 3 daughters born to a wealthy Jewish banker. She married her first husband and had 2 children before converting to Catholicism and remarrying someone else. Her son was a pilot and was shot down and killed in WWI. Her daughter Beatrice married someone and had children and lived in Paris at the time of Nazis invasion. They were all sent to Auschwitz and killed. Irene, the little girl in the painting, hid behind her new Italian last name and catholic faith and was able to survive the Nazis invasion along with her other sister. The portrait itself was stolen when her childhood home was raided and it was traded between some generals in the Axis powers. Eventually, it was liberated (along with some other works) by the Allied forces and eventually Irene was able to get it back. She sold it again to Emil Georg Bührle who was an art collector and arms manufacturer. After his death, the painting, and the rest of his collection, was put into the Foundation E.G. Bührle where it has been on display since 1956.

The painting is by Renoir, and it's called, "Little Irene" she was 8 at the time, made it out of the Holocaust I believe and died at 91 in the 1960s in Paris after spending all of the money earned from selling the painting.

I wasn't around during the time of his comedy skits. I know him more for his scary story stuff and conspiracy theories. It's disheartening to know he made offensive content earlier in his career. I really enjoy the spooky videos and wish he would come back to make more content featured around supernatural occurances. People do make poor choices when it comes to topics they may not fully understand. He had stepped away from hurtful content and I personally love what he shifted to. Keep striving to better yourself, those that truly care will help you along the way.

I found Shane in one of the worst times of my life. I was so lost but when I found Shane he helped me through so much. I found him about 4-5 years ago. At the time I struggled a lot with my weight and family problems. I found myself relating to him more and more every time I watched another video. He was and still is literally my therapy. He helped me realize that I wasn’t alone. I’d come home from a hard day of school and I’d watch his videos for hours straight. I remember sometimes I would get so lost in his videos that I’d feel like I was there laughing and hanging out with him. He made me find joy and take a break from reality. Yes I know that sounds dumb but I really do miss him. I wish we could go back before everything went downhill. I don’t stand him anymore now because of what I found out he did in the past (with his skits and other things), but I do still find myself coming back and bingeing his videos. They give me comfort still.

It was painted by a french impressionist artist named Pierre-Auguste Renoir in 1880. I was actually studying his paintings and had to choose just one to write an essay about. That one just so happened to be this exact painting. Coincidence? I think not.

I’ve also had someone touch my shoulder before and I was working on homework when I was in high school , and when I turned around cause I thought it was one of my parents and nothing was there. Where I used to live when I moved in with my dad and stepmom the townhouse we lived in was def haunted by something very evil . Anytime I went into my parents room and my eyes scanned across there closest I would walk out and something would be right at the back of my head glaring at me wanting to hurt me. We had a loft area as well and anytime I’d be sitting downstairs and id always feel something staring at me either from the loft area right above me or the stairs, and when I would look up or at the stairs nothing was there. The only place I felt safe was in my room and when I would pray . I’m not sure what happened in that townhouse but it wasn’t good and they def hated women. Or scarier yet I think my stepmom low key a person that participated in dark arts kinda or the occult. Because I’d never experienced anything that evil until I lived with her and she always pretends to be nice but idk maybe it was just the house.

Its true, a whole lot of people run to the comments in order to form a "personal" opinion, im guilty of this too and after this and seeing shane now ive promised myself to never do it again. okaaay I gasped when he revealed the painting. That same painting was in my grandmas house my whole life. It never scared me though, I always loved it. It's called Little Irene. When I was in my 20's, my grandma gave me a huge print of the painting in an amazing frame. We bought our first house 3 years ago, it's a 1910 Edwardian home and the painting was the first thing I hung up. It has always made me so happy looking at it, now i'm kind of freaking out watching this! LOOL
