being held accountable for what you do and waking up from it, is a good thing as long as you don't return to those behaviors. It doesnt make you cancelled or a bad person if that makes sense. Things happen when we are immature and stupid kids doing stupid stuff for attention or whatever, but people who want to threaten or hate someone aren't worth the time. sorry.

I feel like people forget that taking accountability also means to move forward and grow from those things we needed to be held accountable for. Shane had a lot of bad takes and made offensive remarks. He took a step back, apologized and now he’s working on himself and his career. If we as regular no-famous people are allowed to make mistakes and grow from them, then why can’t he? Cancel culture can be helpful but it can also be contradicting and toxic to ppls mental health. You gotta let ppl move forward so they can learn from their mistakes. Glad Shane is back and doing better

One day I was thinkin if Shane is on KZfaq again, and here we are. All of this bring me so much nostalgia, back in the 2016-2019 Shane was my comfort person, before all the drama and cancel culture and I even unsubscribed him because I believed that's something right to do. I hope he's take his lesson from the past and I believe he wouldn't do and say stuff like this again. I think everybody was in the place where they we'll joke about inappropriate things but we didn't do it anymore because we all grown up and understand more, and I hope he'll do the same.

Shane’s mom is probably devastated. I don’t know if you’ve all seen but she went really deep into religion because of Shane’s childhood and the separation from his dad which left her feeling guilty. I feel she wants to advice Shane against some of the things he does but the inner guilt she feels prevents her from taking up the mom role. Shane is back meanwhile Jenna Marbles isn’t despite him being accused of far worse, that alone should give you a gauge of his unchecked narcissism.

Exactly. People also forget what the late 90s to the early/early mid 2000s were like or they were too young to remember. Social media was growing and everyone was trying be famous. It all about the jokes and the shock factor. People made crude jokes about everything and everyone either not knowing it was wrong or not caring, BECAUSE IT WASN’T TAUGHT. It was obviously wrong but no one really said anything about or if they did, they might get hate but it was kind of ignored in a way. In my opinion, I think it was until end of 2012 that things started to slowly start to be taken seriously and people who didn’t like what was being said were able to voice how wrong it was. Social media helped bring awareness and to teach that it’s not funny and we shouldn’t saying all these things. Cancel culture was born and now there is a lot more lawsuits. I’m glad Shane took accountability to his actions and acknowledge he was wrong, but I don’t think he deserved be cancelled and definitely not “permanently” cancelled according to what people are saying.

Shane I don’t know if you will ever see this comment but .. you honestly have saved me from my deepest darkest moments in life from depression to coming out to doing anything in my adult life you have saved me with all your jokes and comments on life that I can so relate to showing me yes things in life get rough but we get through it .. you being canceled and then jumping right back into it and be strong and confident about it is amazing and thank you for not giving up completely and continuing making content for more laughs and advice on things thank you Shane !!!

I don’t even care if I get attacked for saying this but, I’ve always loved Shane and watching his videos was the only thing that kept me sane during a very hard part of my life. He was my only “friend” tbh. in a really sad and fucked up way 😂. I love you Shane

@@raya-fk5xz He said really horrible things because he thought that they were funny. It was completely not okay what so ever, but if you’re an actual fan of Shane then you know how much he changed and how many times he apologized. He would never say those things now that he said before. people do things in the past (some worse than others) but that doesn’t make them horrible people and you shouldn’t say that when you don’t know them. I really do get where you’re coming from but people aren’t their mistakes. (Unless they’re like serial killers or something lmao) but at the end of the day you’re allowed to have your own opinion and I respect that.

i completely agree with you, he was part of the youtube family who raised me as a kid. he will always have a special place in my heart no matter what, shane brings me comfort. yes he did things in the past but due to the fact it was the past, humor was different back then. shane taught me so much and taught me my own personality

These people that got overly offended probably weren't out of nappies 10 years ago 😂 They heard and read about the things he said all those years ago and decided that if he said them then, he still means it now. I told my mum I wish she would die at 11 years old doesn't mean I feel that way now obviously she's my best friend but if people judged me on the stuff I said in anger 19 years ago I'd never make new friends 😂😂😂 (btw I am a very very hormonal and tend to have multiple personalities once a month e.g my behaviour as a young girl

its exactly why cancel culture doesnt make any sense.. if he did something inappropriate why did it take ten years for people to start hating on him for it.. its just targeting famous people in the spot light and want them to be perfect. people take things way too seriously and if you dont like someone then dont support them.. but the witch hunts for inappropriate jokes is ridiculous to me

Im glad Shane is back!! Cancel culture is so toxic because people taking part in it most of the time pick which person they want to hate on! There is so many people who did and still do very problematic things but still have a platform. So im happy that Shane took the time to work on himself and now continues doing what he loves.
