I started reading the transphobia as political issue article and then it happened. There before my eyes was the word. "Aughts" I guess it's a word used to encapsulate and refer to the first ten years of the century. But it's not the right word. Aughts implies "things I SHOULD do" Oughts, maybe is better, but the word should be THE NOUGHTIES Why do new yorkers insist upon calling it the aughts, when there is a word for what they are thinking of already. Stop it! Just use NOUGHTIES and be done with it already.
