Little unnecessary animations like this really show the skill and effort that went into production quality. Character swap feels particularly natural, as characters exchange voice lines and appear from different directions to give vivid feeling of a team fight.

Its worth mentioning a use case for the 2nd version of her special attack. The entire time that Nicole is lying on the ground, she is invulnerable until she starts getting back up.

For those who are used to dodging with shift. I suggest just remapping the Right Mouse button to Special. Also you can either spam input ASD or DSA without the W after the special hold to work.

I just found out that you could extend her orb for 5 seconds (normally its 3 ish seconds). So what you do is hold E and RIGHT BEFORE she shoots, quickly spin (WASD, ASDW, etc.) to do the special skill. This way, you can charge up her skill more, extending the orb duration :D

This hidden attack animation can allow Nicole to chain her basic attacks into a skill without having to press E. You can enter charge stance in the middle of the basic attack sequence by holding the basic attack button, then do the circle movement for the hidden animation, which links into the skill. The 2nd animation comes from cancelling her sitting stance early (not letting her charge the skill). You can do this instead of having to hold E and circle movement to save the pain of having to jump hands while playing. Only found out after seeing your video and button mashing to perform it. Thank you so much for this, this whole thing is game-changing for me.

did some testing myself on keyboard and its way easier to trigger then mentioned in the video you just have to attack with nicole then press the WASD keys while still holding the regular attack button (you don't actually need to press the ex special button just have to have the energy for it) then it starts the animation and if you continue holding till she sits on the briefcase you get the first animation but if you interrupt it before she finishes sitting she does the second animation where she falls down, and after some minor testing the first animation where you hold all the way though is actually fairly usable in combat as it feels alot smoother and possibly a bit faster then attacking into manually pressing the ex special button, the second is not as useful imo because the projectile takes longer to land so the quick assist prompt is way more delayed

Basically you can do this off dodge attack, ex, and any normal attack string. The attack itself is the same, with uncharged doing a mortar launch and charged being a straight shot.

For anyone on PC, you can assign something into 2 different input. I use special skill on E but i can also use it on one of my mouse button. That's useful if you wanna try that, without disturb your habits

as much as it's cool she has this, In my opinion this is not a traditional fighting game command input. I get that its inspired by street fighter but if it was a command input its 360 motion first then pressing a button, whereas here you press or hold the button first and do a 360 after, releasing the charge to shoot. Let me reiterate 360 motion + Attack button = Spinning Pile Driver Attack pressed/held first and then 360 motion= nicole sit

Guys I’m pretty sure the biggest benefit of this move is if you get her C1. It allows you to extend the black hole duration the longer you charge it so fully charging both animations will basically double the black holes time. That and she’s invincible the whole time she does it plus you can swap off her and she’ll still finish the animation anyway

TIP: No need to do extra shenanigans just to do the second pose where she is knocked down. It also works just like the first one. The key difference is: The first pose combination is: Hold ex skill > circular analog motion The second pose combination: Do the circular analog movement first then press Ex skill (I find it more consistent if the movement motion is being held down backwards just before pressing ex skill)

So many details in this game but the combat is sooooo lackluster, she literally has a 3 tap base moveset and a special move button , it feels so bland fighting in this game, but peak animation atleast.
