The Deuce: E5 Wear gloves when you use grinders

We're chugging along at a steady pace, the drivetrain mockup has begun and we had our first injury. If there's one piece of advice we have for you, it's wear gloves. The custom Deuce bed is in progress and we make custom mirror mounts for the Freightliner Cascadia mirrors we are putting on. The further we get the more this truck comes to life.
At the time of this episode release, the bed is finished and powder coated, the M35A2 frame and many other pieces are powder coated and looking fresh, tomorrow Chassis Unlimited to coming from San Fransisco to 3D scan the Deuce and Gladiator to start designing custom bumpers, and we are prepping for electrical install and finish body work on the cab.

Oh boy! Making awesome progress in this video! Looking forward to moreeeeee! Mega ouch on the finger. I have my guards removed too, but definitely gotta be careful! Especially if you rock a 6” blade on occasion.

Thanks Grizz! More is on the way! Yeah my finger will never be the same haha I don’t do anything without wearing gloves now. Ripping yourself apart is one way to learn a lesson! 😅

Did that need stitches? Told you in a earlier video to wear safety gear ;). Gloves and eye pro.

Well, it probably did need stitches.. but I didn’t get any. I have a couple good scars on my finger now and still gaining it’s mobility back, but it’s all healed up.

The paint you scrap off of the frame is CARC and very dangerous. Need to wear respirator during grinding.

Good to know! I always held my breath or put a mask on when grinding that stuff. Brandon just jumps right in though 🤦♂️ Thankfully now the frame has been sand blasted and powder coated so we won’t be dealing with that anymore.

Get you a drill doctor for all them drill bits. It’s a lot cheaper than more drill bits. I love mine. I Resharpen bits when I notice there getting dull.

We’ve since started sharpening bits on a belt sander. But I’ll check out the drill doctor! Thanks for the suggestion!

Instead of wd40 when drilling use wax, cheaper and lasts longer under heat
