Let’s not forget he was also a bully on set…I hate saintinizing people only after they died it sounds so fake. That being said he grew out of that to an extent. His ex wife might not think so though…

@@Thatonegirl_scruffy The thing is, I cannot help but hold the estranged wife, Tammy, partly responsible for JDF's death. Whether people want to admit it or not, things said in anger can and do push people over the edge, and I can't help but suspect that his estranged wife said something to him during their arguments to that effect, which ended up being the straw that broke the camel's back. The thing is, rather than empathize with him and support him, she did the opposite by adding to his stress and anxiety. Given the multiple deaths he had been dealing with of other family members, the retiring of active participation in the Power Rangers franchise, and the divorce his estranged wife had put him through -- my guess is, with my experience, that he had felt abandoned. As if, nobody cared whether he lived or died. He also probably felt as if he no longer had a purpose. The point is, with everything that had happened, JDF was going through a midlife crisis. And being a man, he probably didn't want to bother anyone with what he was dealing with. In my own experience, I have always preferred to be alone, because I feel like I get preached at in my depression. My heart breaks for his kids, because now, they no longer have a father. That, in my mind, hurts almost as much as the fact JDF took his own life.

I am high functioning autistic and met him at a comic book singing at my town. He was so kind to me and talked to me like a friend would even though I had a lot of anxiety he calmed me down. I am Christian and my dad was really sick at the time and he took the time to pray for my dad. Rest in power bro. We’ll meet again in heaven. My dad is recovering well now. I’ll pray for his family. I’ve thought about suicide a lot, but I’m still alive I win that battle every day and hopefully I’ll continue to do so

Amen to that brother. The one thing I will say about Frank's I didn't know him long, only off and on for about 3 years. But he was a very good representation of the best of us at least what I knew of him. He also took very seriously and with great humility is responsibility as a role model for all people. I'm glad to hear that you win the battle of depression and suicide daily still. I myself also know how hard it is to fight that demon. I wish you strength and the best of all things. Also hopefully a long and happy life.
@englishatheart
@englishatheart Жыл бұрын
Edit: So sorry for the long comment. While I am an agnostic and question whether or not there's a God or afterlife, I also have suffered from severe depression my entire life and have far too often wished I had the strength to end my "life." I just do not belong here and I am so tired of seeing those who do nothing but hurt others get to have those they "love" in their life while I am alone no matter how much of myself I give. The only reason I haven't is because I am too afraid that death may be even worse. It is completely unknown, and that is terrifying. Not to mention one instinct we have not been able to overcome is our instinct to survive. Everything in our brain wants us to stay alive, even if our souls wish otherwise. So I know all too well just how deep into the darkness you have to be to actually end your life. And too many people, especially religious people, claim those who commit suicide are "selfish" and "weak" and will "burn in Hell" for it. And while that last part is the main fear keeping me here, it still pisses me off that people act like you're a bad, evil person who deserves to be punished for eternity just because you reached the point of no return and don't see any other way out. So seeing someone say he's in heaven is definitely nice. No one should be condemned for ending their earthly suffering in the only way they thought they could.

“It’s morphing time”. Never going to forget those words. He had such a good legacy and I’m sad that I never got to know that much about him (I wasn’t born or old enough when he made his appearance in Power Rangers, but I occasionally found myself watching them on Netflix for a few years). I followed JDF way beyond Power Rangers. I was a fan of his throughout his life. I watched his Power Rangers cameos of recent seasons, I watched his MMA fights, I watched his channel, his interviews, vlogs and other short movie projects. Just days ago I watched his podcasts with some of his former Power Ranger co-stars, they were reminiscing the Power Ranger days, laughing and just having a good time. Talking about the impact the show had on the kids in the whole world and themselves. This is unreal… Rest in peace, Jason David Frank. You will be missed, but not forgotten. Your legacy will live on. Your love, dedication, passion and compassion for others will continue to spread and inspire millions of us.
