The differences between the 80's Dyno Dtour Pretzel bars and the Pro Comp Bars. The Pro Comp bars are 4130 chromoly and have a D cr-mo stamped on them at the ends where the grips go. The Dtour pretzels are hi tens steel and have no stamps. The Mid cross bar is half an inch higher on the pro comp bars and the lower half area is also half an inch wider plus the holes inside the top areas are smaller on pro comp bars and you cant fit your finger inside. The pro comp bars also have double knurling and dtour pretzels have single knurling. Also some pro comp bars didnt come stamped as quality control missed some back then like always. The ends are are seemless on the pro comp bars and very thin metal and the dtour ones are thicker and smeemed(rolled). Hope that helps.

Painted or chrome plated they all cracked in the same place around the stem clamping area. never had that happen with 4pc bars or GT bars.

A pair of Blk. Dyno's sheared right off at the bends, the last pair I ever owned. So I went back to the '86 GT PP bars till my GT 4pc came in from Albe's.

😂 I find myself trying to keep my white Panaracer's clean on occasion! One thing I wished was that the Pro Compe, plus the D Tour were reissued in their original/close to original form. The cruiser is cool, but doesn't give you that feeling of your first Dyno.

I wish i could reissue the 87 pro comp and pro freestyle tour like haro did with their vintage haro masters. They made them exact

@@MorbidThrasher666 Haro definitely put their foot into those models. I'm keeping my eye out for the proper bash guard master. I wanted to eventually give my current bike to one of my nephews to give them something other than those video games that they are always playing. In my youth, we had to shut the games down to brave the elements outside. 🏃🏿🚴🏿‍♂️⛹‍♂️🤸🏽‍♂️🤼‍♂️..

Never knew there was a difference. Interesting thing though, the clearance of the D-Tour bars seems like it might be overall better.

One is white and the other is dayglo pink, both bad assery! Lol!

@@MorbidThrasher666 The dayglo pink PFT had me blinking when I first saw one on a sunny day in the late 80's. Till this day, I'm convinced that any dope GT should have a bit of pink in the colorway.

Thank you. sadly the white 87 d-tour is gone but i replaced with with the ultimate DYNO,the 87 pro Compe all stamped and full chromoly in dayglo orange.

No,they d-tour bars are pretty heavy at 2.9 pounds. The pro compe chromoly pretzels are 1.14 pounds,alot lighter.

Not all hi ten bars same ..same with stamped 4130 ones 86 to 94 ...few diff gen1 bars they did have non stamped 4130 bars to main thing is seam inside tuning there are differences over the years
