The Agressive Hardtails fit more into the trail category. They feature larger suspension forks, slacker geometries, wider and knobbier tires, and many come with dropper posts. Hope this helps!

Remember when you were a kid it was called "A bike" and it was just as fun? Actually I remember two district categores of bike growing up: 1) with playing cards in the spokes 2) whisper mode aka stealth mode

Thanks for the simple explanation! It might be surprising to most seasoned mtn bike riders, the various categories of mtn bikes can be confusing/intimidating for newbies so this is super helpful!

Honestly, this could not have been structured any better. It is a phenomenal and concise introduction to a very perplexing subject, at least for a complete novice such as myself. Thanks a ton! A huge plus was the lack of a frustrating British accent which made it even clearer.

The canyon strive is the best enduro bike cause you can ride it anywhere because it has a shape shifter which allows you to change the rear shock between 130/160mm of travel which makes it the ultimate mountain bike.❤

I have a trek Rascoe 7. It’s a hard tail but it’s more of a trail bike. 140mm of air fork suspension, 2.8 inch tires, and a dropper post

I got a hard tail mountain bike and I love it! With a squishy seat cover I don’t miss the back suspension at all and I feel like I can ride over anything and go uphill and down and around sharp corners, having a blast!

I never want a hard tail again after driving with a full suspension for a time! That’s really a night and day difference! Just alone because of the driving comfort!

Excellent video. Curious where a fat tire bike falls in this spectrum? Aware it's an outlier but I'm guessing more on the XC or trail areas. Is that accurate?

Can't be more agree with you with what you say from 2:30 to 3.00. my case and I think the least of the people do... Then they are experts are telling you have to have all the features and spend all your money and they don't know anything about MTB variety

I would never want to race downhill on a hard tail. Some categories don’t include them in that case. I wouldn’t really want to race enduro with one either but plenty of people do recreationally.

"all mountain" is another way of saying "trail" bike in my opinion. I could be wrong but thats what I've always assumed.

Hey I got a question, I can't find an answer for it. My bike has a SEATPOST suspension, does it make my bike FULL SUSPENSION or just normal Hardtail?

"Full suspension" means that the rear wheel can move up and down relative to the rest of the bike, so seat post suspension does not make it a hardtail.

My favorite category is enduro and because I can use it for all types of riding that I like to do. But I would say the most popular is the Trail category, and the most common bike you'll see is the cross country hardtail

Maybe I just suck, I don’t wanna die going up hills and live for the down hills… I don’t mind don’t technical stuff on trails…. What would I consider myself ? ( I don’t live to ride up hard stuff, I’m only going up to come back down )
