In this video I present the case of the disappearance and death of 25 year old Alison Raspa from Whistler, British Columbia in 2017.
Alison was originally from Perth, Australia and she moved to Whistler in 2016 to work at the Westin Resort and enjoy the vast outdoor wilderness surrounding this beautiful mountain town.
She is described as being friendly and kind, and she was very athletic and active.
On November 22 of 2017 Alison went out drinking and socializing with friends at a bar in downtown Whistler. She had reportedly been quite distraught that night and she was intoxicated when she left the bar. She caught a bus around midnight to travel back to her accommodations, and she was dropped off about an hour later near Highway 99 and Lake Placid Road. Around 1:15 AM that morning she sent a text to her friend saying that she was lost. This was the last time anyone heard from Alison.
When she didn't show up for work, her friends contacted the RCMP. Police pinged Alison's cellphone in the area of Alpha Lake Park and they started their efforts here. Alison's wallet and backpack were found in a field north of the lake, and a resident walking through the area the morning Alison went missing found her coat in the same area as her wallet and backpack. Her cellphone was also separately located in the park soon after. The official search lasted for 2 weeks and it was intensive and thorough. Hundreds of police, search and rescue and civilian ground searchers scoured the area around the park, and a helicopter was utilized to search from above. Divers equipped with sonar did 2 separate searches of Alpha Lake, which is a relatively small body of water.
Alison's family flew from Australia to Whistler and they continued looking for her long after the official search was terminated.
There were no leads in the case until the following year. Around 7:30 PM on March 16, 2018 a resident walking in the northern end of Alpha Lake Park saw a body in the lake and contacted authorities. RCMP and the Whistler Fire Department removed Alison Raspa's partially frozen body from the water. Police said that they could not determine the cause of death but that foul play was not suspected.
The official coroners report didn't come out until March 2020, 2 full years after Alison's body was found. I could not find an official cause of death listed, but it was suggested that Alison took her own life and that alcohol played a role.
It is unusual that Alison's body was not located during the initial search, had it been in the lake the whole time? Alpha Lake is very small, and professional divers equipped with sonar technology did an intensive search of the lake - twice.
Many people do not believe Alison took her own life that night, but there is limited information available on this case.
Ultimately just a very sad story, and my heart goes out to Alison's family and friends. I can only imagine what it would be like to go through something like that.
I hope you found this one interesting and informative, and if you'd like to watch more of my content please consider subscribing to my channel - I upload at least one new video per week.
Thanks for watching!

You presented this case very well, and with respect to the victim and her family. Thank you for not speculating too much and being upfront with the known facts whilst giving an opinion.

Hey thanks I appreciate it, this case always seemed weird to me just because her body was eventually found in a tiny lake that had been searched extensively.

I don’t recall hearing about this one. I totally agree. Strange she wasn’t found during the search.

That was the biggest thing for me in this case too, Alpha lake is tiny and it was searched extensively - was her body in the lake during the initial search?

@@strangenorth reminds me of that video you did a few weeks ago with that dude down near Toronto. Are searchers searching with their eyes closed??

It fits the profile of David Paulides research with the body showing in an area already searched.

Hey thanks for watching and I appreciate when people take the time to comment - yeah that detail is very odd, how did divers equipped with sonar not see her during their two separate and extensive searches of that small lake? Strange case

This case was odd to me mainly because her body was eventually located in the lake, but it is a tiny lake and it was searched extensively with divers using modern sonar equipment. Twice.

The text she sent to a friend saying she was lost makes me think her death was an accident and not suicide, she was probably lost and drunk and fell into the lake??

I think they would have found her. Personally, I think she was placed in the lake after the searchers and police were gone.

Maybe she didn't send the text

That could have happened , the part that seems odd to be is that her body was eventually found in a tiny lake that had been searched extensively

If this happened to a friend or family member I would hire a trained remote viewer or a psychic medium. Just saying the remote viewers I know have a 60 to 80 % on their targets. Please go research and don't ask me any questions.

I had a visions year ago after a little girl went missing but I got too scared of going to see cops, for they would accuse me of being complicit and I am super claustrophobic I would certainly faint as soon as put in jail and repeatedly until I die Thank God the girl was found the next week or I would have had to deal with that my whole life, not doing anything
