This is my hope as well, and at this point the only reason I will return to 40k, but the realist in me has a feeling we will see Sanquinius return before we see Corax. With 10th edition GW has basically turned all "codex compliant" chapters, even first founding chapters, into Ultramarines but painted a different color. Eff that GW, give us back our identities.

I want him to return in spectacular fashion though. A face off between the G man and Lorgar, Lorgar gets the upper hand and just as he's about to strike a blow on G man... a whip catches his arm, smoke and shadow emerges from the warp. Corax takes physical form in the dark mist at the other end of the whip, blue lightning beginning to crackle and charcoal wings emerging from the smoke. Corax lets out a growled whisper: "The universe does not want us, brother".

Well in one of the books it talks about Big E using the golden throne, as he activates it stasis generators turn on. So when he goes in to the warp was his body protected by a stasis field???? Why would not Corvus use the same technology… think about The Big E now been in the warp So long he mind broke apart….. body as fresh as a damaged spring chicken…. Imagine the realty breaking event that would happen if the golden throne is shut off. A god of the warp ripping forth to be contained by a physical body, probably be along the lines of Fulgrims Apotheosis except 10^6 times as destructive…. Then if the golden throne survives that it goes boom. Warp gates opens, demons start flooding in, then try to turn around and go back. “I don’t know what’s out there but it’s worse then what’s in here….”briefly the demon thinks before being vaporized

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA, GW should use your comment cause that would be fantastic, and explain why he was able to transform into so many ravens. Like his physical form is anchored in reality but he is able to send his entire warp presence into the immaterium

Theoretical: Corax being in stasis is already debunked, and people who wanna fan fiction Corax as a warp-borne entity should be directed to every psyker spell in the Umbramancy (RG specific Psyker powers) from their codex. Every description of abilities used by Corax in Shadows of the Past (where most of this head canon comes from) can be matched nearly word-for-word by the Umbramancy spells in their own codex. May aswell call Robute a Daemon for having sound strategy and utilizing it at that point. Practical: Rho is thirsty for content.

Corax did get to Terra after Istvann with his legion survivors but left with the Emperor's Primarch project tech to rebuild his legion before the seige.

Corax simply did not stayed for the siege, as Emperor and himself knew he and his legion were going to be more useful being outside cutting Horus supply lines and killing his officers than defending a wall.

@@MandoSki464 Yeah, they’re one of those badass legions that could be the best if they were given more love. Sharrowkin or however you spell it is part of the reason I started to love the legion.

@@thegreatalucard76 funny enough despite my picture I’m a wolves fan first and foremost but love the stealthy tactical style of the 18th, 20th, & 8th. At least when the night lords are actually tactical and not just flaying stuff lol

@@minishaw280 I mean, in nature ravens and wolves have a symbiotic relationship. Russ is either in the Garden of Nurgle or trapped in Khorne's Brass Citadel at this point, so if Corax found his brother, I could see them hunting together at this point. Heck, if Lorgar happened to also be after the "Tree of Life" then there is another link to the Wolf and the Raven's hunt. Imagine getting a book titled "The Wolf and The Raven" out of nowhere!

I could see something like the Ravenspire being 'elevated' 'into the warp'. Becoming some kind of dark light house, or more literally, the home of the raven. From where the ravenlord launches his attacks into the realm of the warp??

Guilliman talking to Corax about the primaris could go kinda two ways. The first is that guilliman could be like "I succeeded where you failed", almost lauding it over him though that seems very unlikely. The other one is Bobby G consoles Corax, telling him thar despite his failure the breakthroughs in the raptor project laid the groundwork for the primaris and the Ultima founding. The failure of the raptor project was not his to bare and that he did what he thought was best for his sons and his Father's imperium

@@hammer1349 I don't think exactly see Guilliman gloating, but can see where he might come off as maybe callous about the subject at first. As far as I know, he wasn't aware of the Raptor Project. I would just love to see Corax's reaction to seeing the Primaris in general. A flashback to seeing his mutated sons at the sight of his now elevated ones.

@alexstan414 yeah and like I said, maybe they could also flesh out the seeds of the primaris project with the insights gained from the raptor project. If they haven't already of course. Something that just crossed my mind actually is Corax's reaction to who Guilliman has become in the current setting. During the crusade and the heresy, corax saw him as somewhat aloof I feel, the opulence and perhaps grandeur the Gman surrounded himself with did not sit easy for corax so seeing his brother worn down, tired and almost pessimistic at what the true state of the galaxy is may form a new bond between them, guilliman now going through what corax did when had to fight the heresy from the shadows and witness some of the true depravity and hell the galaxy had to offer

From what I remember is, while they weren't close and Guilliman didn't have him in his Dauntless Few (or whatever he called his favorite and most reliable brothers), they did have a healthy relationship and respected one another. Guilliman is between a rock and a hard place now, and he's definitely feeling it, so Corax seeing the pride and surety in Guilliman waning would be something. Especially if they talk of his meeting with the Emperor. There would be some VERY stark comparisons with their "Emperor on the Golden Throne" talks.

Why? It'd be in character for him if his physical form never left. It'd also be much cooler if his unlocked warp power was the ability to psychic project a shadow raven monster. The Lion got teleportation but Corax got angry birds? It would also allow corax to have impacted the materium setting from the shadows. His power is wraith slipping. You arent going to see corax unless he wants you to. He can wipe his presence from your mind He could go into stasis to project his raven demon form to hunt down Lorgar and then when the materium needs him he could exit it, solve the problem, and return with no one being any the wiser. This would mean Corax helped keep the imperium together as an unsung hero while also keeping the word bearers at bay through fear. Imo that's not a let down, that's giving a good character the respect he deserves. When he returns and reveals himself it opens up situations where he can hide himself in the shadows and then unleash hell on the imperiums enemies by projecting a conspiracy of demon ravens at them

I wouldn't give corax teleportation powers too. It'd be redundant with the lions power. Rather id give him something similar. let him psychically project a conspiracy of demon ravens wherever they're needed throughout the materium or warp. He can't physically move his body there but he can move his demon forms fighting value wherever it's needed The lion is a warlord so his physical being teleporting where he needs to be allows him to better act as a warlord commander. Corax is stealth. He doesn't need to be there to spy or to strike from the shadows You can make it better and say his demon form spawns from any shadow. So when he projects it requires shadow to form wherever he is projecting. Make chaos demons afraid of the dark His power would differ from the lions in that his projected location is only temporary rather than permanent as the lions is until the lion decides to leave. He cant use it to command troops from afar very well. He can use it to spy or conduct stealth strikes wherever necessary. Corax could be in a ship above a chaos controlled planet. Project down into the enemy base and emerge from the shadows as a raven demon. Slaughter everyone in the base. Take down the planetary shields. Then stop projecting and unleash exterminatus on the planet Wraith slipping to wraith walking/projecting seems the logical progression. He won't hide in the shadows but he'll become the shadows

Given that they guard the old apothecarion, the place of Corax's biggest sin and failure, it wouldn't surprise me that some form of warp manifestation still haunts those halls. The pain, the rage, the sorrow and guilt. Combined, they could well thin the veil enough or even be the catalyst for the creation of a very specific warp entity

Idk about russ coming back considering magus is the only individual that knows where he is in the warp and even said he isnt having fun where he is. Then njal storm caller tried to find him and accidentally found jahgati khan and corvus instead. Most are thinking theyll come back before the wolf primarch.

Because chasing, killing and terrifying traitor legions and one of the most dangerous daemon primarch (since Lorgar is the only one that has truly and willingly embraced chaos) is doing nothing?

@@lordcorax6918 no, like the end of my thing, that's awesome. the problem is Corax in the eye of terror doesn't know shit about how fucked everythings become, and there's a strong argument he couldn't leave if he wanted to. if he's WILLINGLY staying in a mind trip on Deliverance hes just stuck his fingers in his ears to go la la la not listening don't make me do paperwork it's the difference between Kaldor Drago and "yes i'm grandmaster but i decided i'm going to spend ALL MY TIME on a hunting trip"
