My mom is a self taught cookin Louisiana and she is the same way! She don't know the recipes because she just feel it! Me being 42 and not being able to prepare a meal or snack for my guests is my biggest failure in life. I thinks it's because it comes so naturally for my mom and sister and me not being able to cook is CRAZYY!!

My mother had 7 children but she always cooked enough for strangers who my drop in. With only one person at the house in later years , but she cooked for 7 until she died. She just couldn't help it

Something doesn’t sit right with me she’s still cooking for the people that enslaved her ancestors and also had her cooking for them for years. To still be mind wise in bondage mind wise makes me sad and feel like you’ve lived this long and still have to but sounds like she happy makes my stomach turn.🤦🏾‍♀️🥴
