There is a free online game, called wikipedia speedruns. It works by the same rules and i have been obsessed for almost a year. I play it every day. You get a daily challenge. The task is always to get from one article to another by clicking the blue links to another wikipedia page. You can then see in a list which user completed the task the fastest or with the least clicks. Theres also a marathon mode, where you have to get through multiple articles. Pls yall have to try it. The Blue Whale challenge sounds a lot like that one phenomenon where people with cursed goofy pfps would try to get people to end game. People with the Goofy image (a person with realistic goofy makeup on) when by a specific name but I can’t remember. The person who made the original image itself wasn’t involved in this game in anyway, and people just used the image for the game. It’s something that gave me chills when I saw a video about it. Sadly I can’t remember what it’s called, but someone did bring it back up on Twitter awhile back.

For the disneyland one theres one for pretty much any major theme park. The one i work at, Alton Towers has one. Luckily nothing major has happened since 2015 when the ride i work on The Smiler crashed (way before I or any of the modern team joined and we have revised training and procedures in place now to stop major incidents from happening again. 1999 - an employee nearly drowned when he slipped and fell between a raft and turntable on Congo River Rapids 2004 - wind caused the Sky Ride cables to become caught and people had to be rescued 2006 - Runaway Mine Train split in half, when entering the tunnel. The front half continued up the slope and rolled back, hitting the back half. 26 people were injured 2007 - Forbidden Valley Sky Ride station set on fire due to a hallogen lamp 2009 - Dark Forest Sky Ride station set on fire due to a faulty vending machine 2013 - Smiler stopped on the lift hill during a preview night. Smiler stalled on the batwing before opening for the day. Smiler stalled on the batwing again with loaded dummies due to it miscalculating the use of its trims on the airtime hill. A bolt fell from Smiler. Smilers support cracked (now replaced with more absorbant supports). A guide wheel fell off 2015 - Smiler crashed due to operator error (she overrode the system when it was preventing dispatch and continuation of the ride when it detected the stalled train) injuring lots of people and causing amputations Seems Smiler had a lot in its first few years but its perfeclty safe now

I love wikipedia related icebergs because they're always an equal mix of actual wikipedia related facts, and a whole lot of interesting/weird real life ones. I'm sure this isn't limited to wikipedia but it's peobably the one that lends itself the most to this.

One of my favorites the wikipedia article "human" is very bizarre and funny to read because it sounds like its written by an alien describing what a human is to other aliens that have absolutely no idea. Just casually debunking all the old stories I’d listen to

I’ve seen the Tyke video, and holy shit… I can’t even imagine being there seeing it all happen in person… Everyone present must have been completely traumatized- especially the children! She was horribly abused, so it‘s no surprise that she eventually had had enough and decided to finally fight back. I understand she stomped someone to death and severely injured another, and I understand she was a danger to the public, but her death was unnecessarily brutal and drawn out. Like, surely there was a quicker, more humane way to go about it… The look of fear and pain in her eyes was absolutely heartbreaking… Tyke’s story is one of tremendous pain and sadness, and never should have happened. It’s a brutal reminder that human beings can be absolute monsters, and that animals are aware of the pain and mistreatment they endure. Animals are not stupid. They can hear, see and feel all of the abuse. They know what’s going on. Everyone has a breaking point- including animals. Dont be the one that pushes them over the edge.

I love how goofy the concept of the "Forbidden Wiki" is. You have to perform this elaborate ritual and tap it supernatural forces, all that to... access some hidden pages from a website whose entire point is that anyone can write whatever they want and unless someone notices and cares enough to correct it, you can just present whatever bullshit you feel like as fact. Really think about it, what would it matter if there was a hidden "forbidden" wikipedia? Wikipedia is already famously unreliable and constantly filled with misinformation if not outright propaganda by bad actors, so imagine the state of a version of it that's even less moderated. Does the person who come up with that creepypaste not understand how Wikipedia works? Do they think it's a well of universal knowledge that spontaneously comes to life whenever a new truth is born, and therefore a hidden wikipedia would be opening the doors to an arcane library of forbidden knowledge? I will say, the idea of a mysterious library that's said to possess great hidden knowledge and you need to perform a grand ritual to access, only for it turn out to be completely useless because it's just the whims of random asshole is a great idea for a fantasy story.
