Nas was 14 when he wrote most of the songs on Illmatic. The album just came out when he was 19. You can hear a lot of the lyrics on the leaked “Illmatic Demo,” songs recorded with the same lyrics years before Illmatic came out. The lyrics were used on different beats. One of the verses on one of those songs is one of Nas’ best verses, which ended up coming out many years after on Raekwon’s ‘Only Built 4 Cuban Linx’ album on a song called “Verbal Intercourse.” Crazy to think how Nas was barely a teenager when he wrote that verse, and it came out when he was in his early 20’s on an official release… so almost 10 years after he first wrote it…

Well, NAS needs no introduction, one of the real G.O.A.T who is real and straight up!! A collaboration with him is huge accomplishment.... Cheers!! Our India is doing great guns in Hip-Hop😊...... Though US is a Big Daddy of Rap, Hip-Hop and R&B..... Still love and listen 2PAC (one of the best ever, still no rapper delivers with ease and smooth fluidity which he used to fire with)... Nas & 2PAC were greats and are still as NAS hold a huge deep respect for PAC!!! They had a small feud in NY and NAS showed PAC great respect for being brave (he was a like a Cat) as Nas was with 100 guys (Boyz from the hood) and PAC was like a fire and since then their bonding got more close!! RIP PAC, BIG PUN, Easy E!!! Divine your lyrics are real, keep up the spirits high and you will always shine like a blue Diamond.... Well, some great songs by NAS “ Memory lane”, “Represent”, “Nothing lasts forever” etc.... Divine Your Teesri Manzil was off the hook (simply Outstanding, meaning flow), it reminds me of “Only God can judge me” By PAC...
