www.vladtv.com - During this VladTV exclusive, The D.O.C. discussed the infamous beef between N.W.A. and Death Row Records in the early 90's. When asked about the difference between the first and second N.W.A. albums, "The Formula" lyricist made it clear Ice Cube's absence changed everything. "Nothing was the same after Cube left," The D.O.C. told DJ Vlad. "Even the beats seemed like they would've been better suited for a D.O.C. record."
Hear about the changes The D.O.C. noticed after Cube's departure, how Death Row Records got its name and why him and Suge Knight were banned from almost every venue in Hollywood above.

Take notice how he said that Eazy was that dude that you didn't wanna fuck with. In all these interviews people are saying the same thing. Eazy was a real compton city G and not some studio gangsta. The whole NWA theme and storyline was basically Eazy's life. They were telling the street stories that Eazy mostly experienced. You can be fans of the other group members but don't ever forget that Eazy E was the real G of the group.

I still don't like how they did NOT give the D.O.C. a studio part/song session, (but he played IN THE WHOLE MOVIE.) And if that part about Eazy getting beat down in the studio is NOT true, then Cube you foul bro. You, Dre, Tomika, all yawl foul for ALLOWING THAT SCENE TO TAKE PLACE. (Something that could possibly be NOT true.) But you cut out the part when Dre slaps a woman??? (Something that's possibly and closer to be the truth.)
@kianawebb5761
@kianawebb5761 8 жыл бұрын
Yeah they tried to make Dre look like an angel and they downplayed the hell outta Doc's presence and force in that group and as a solo artist. That's one thing that kinda made me upset. Doc's character was throughout the entire movie and he barely said anything, when in reality it was the opposite. I've seen old footage of them and Doc was just as live as the rest of em.

DWIGHT NOT FAR Am not saying Suge & his Compton mob piru bloods boys beat up eazy, I am just saying they got gangsta on eazy. Because a former death row artist who was with suge & dre at the time said, dre did tell suge that eazy only understood the gangsta way of talking at times, now he didn't say dre told suge to get gangsta on eazy he just said dre told suge in a conversation that at times (Not all the times) eazy only understood the gangsta way of things.

Describing Suge as a deviant who liked to do crazy shit and laugh about it just made things a WHOLE lot clearer for me. Suge's been described a lot of ways for a long time but that just made everything so simple for me as far as 2Pac goes and just Death Row in general. It all makes sense now...
@CaliCool91
@CaliCool91 8 жыл бұрын
Willis Street it's not just about being crazy. The fact that he was a jokestar who took pleasure in crazy shit like that is what does it. Pairing a guy like that with 2Pac in his "I don't give a fuck" prime, plus they're both rich and powerful? Disaster waiting to happen.

I have 2 agree with what BG Knockout said. Of course DOC is gonna say it wasn't Dre's character. Regarding setting up Eazy when Dre is his guy. Dre is his paycheck still. Helping him out personally ghostwriting then artist development on Aftermath input. He isn't going 2 say Yeah ! Dre did setup E when Suge ambushed him. That would be biting the hand feeding him. Now, Suge was & is a nefarious individual. A man who took pleasure in humiliating, & physically assaulting other's.

Vlad, this series of interviews is absolutely incredible. I grew up in CT close to NYC. D.O.C. was THE ONLY "west coast" rapper that I liked or respected by 89/90. But I'm more impressed by how accountable and wise he is today while he reflects on all the things that "happened to him". He stands up and takes responsibility for everything; lack of having his contracts right, etc. I wish the youth of today would watch these interviews and learn that from him. THAT'S an AMERICAN right there. He takes ALL responsibility for his own actions, holds no grudges, smiles, and moves on about his business. I have complete respect for him for that! Salute yourself for asking all the right questions

How the hell are u going to say that dre is not the type of dude to do what he did setting Eazy up, when he lied about beating up a woman nearly unconscious for many years? He obviously has a deeper darker side to him.

"Laylaw and them like to say...." He was about to admit that ABOVE THE LAW started G-Funk. "Call it What You Want" by Above the Law (Featuring 2Pac & Money B of Digital Underground). It's on this song where 2Pac first said the term "G-Funk" after hanging with Above the Law and hearing the term being used by them. #TRUEGAME
