I find the planet Time a really cool concept and I find it interesting how it was created as another way of "anchoring the thread". (The process the time lords used of ending the Dark Times and bringing order to the universe with them at the centre - a major theme with Division)

@@TheDrumstickEmpire tbh I would rather the Eternals seeing as how they've already appeared in the Chibnall era and how they're one of the most powerful races in the universe and were present during the dark times, the actors who portrayed the guardians in the classic series played them so well that I don't think any new actor playing them could do them justice, besides I wouldn't really want to see Chibnall ruin them with his trash writing.

Oh! Another neat parallel between the Ravagers and Time Lords: where the Time Lords have living ships (that are bigger on the inside) for travelling through time and space, the Ravagers have living prisons (that are bigger on the inside) for imprisoning people from across time and space. The Thirteenth Doctor has had the mixed responsibility (mixed in that it's positive and negative) of basically establishing new mysteries and long-term stories and topics to explore, because by the Twelfth Doctor most of the ones already existing had been used up. It has its pros and cons (less relationship building, mainly), and COVID certainly didn't help anything, or the BBC's insistence on shorter and shorter seasons. But it's what I've been really enjoying about this Doctor's tenure. Sowing the seeds for more in the future.

When I realised this was a memory, I thought we'd see 13 watching Fugitive do the scene like she did in The Timeless Children or do the scene and be confused as to what she's expected to do and wonder why she is there as the memory, but instead neither happened. She played The scene like she knew what was going on and it glitches between the two. A clever idea I'd not thought of. Glad I wasn't right, it surprised me to see how they did it, and it was an interesting use of 2 Doctors that hadnt been done before.

I think the Division is a much better story than the Timeless Child, and could have easily worked on its own, including even pre-Hartnell Doctors (a concept Classic Who played with a few times). The Doctor could have just as easily been one of several Time Lords who were reincarnations of Time Lords whose lives were erased as part of Gallifrey claiming mastery over Time. The Timeless Child aspect so far hasn’t really meant anything
@rafaelmenezes1673
@rafaelmenezes1673 2 жыл бұрын
Timeless Child is just a demonstration of blind love for a concept and poor writing. Chibnall goes to Brain of Morbius, if I'm not mistaken, take a concept from there that hasn't been developed and that has no need to, because there are other ways of telling the same stories and tries to work it out... It is poor written and ultimately useless but not worth all the hate whovians throw at Jodie and even at Chibnall

The Doctor is Probably 'The Other' from Gallifreyan history. Some rumors say he threw himself into the looms to be reborn instead of letting Rassilon kill him like Omega. The timeless child could work if they set that up. The Doctor is reverted to childhood, taken to the future of Gallifrey a billion years later. They scrub the doctor from history and Tecteun is nigh omnipotent.

I really think Doctor Who should have another spinoff series. I think this spinoff should be a prequel story of the Doctor’s time working for the Division. If I would be the creator of the series, I would call it “Divison”, and it should be based on the Timeless Child (the Doctor) being recruited and how they met Karvanista and the many battles the Doctor and Swarm fought. I'm 2/3 of the way through watching the Matt Smith years and the scripts are significantly better, more consistent, and make sense. The Flux didn't make sense on any level. I hope Russell T. Davies turns things around quickly! Sadly, it won't be with Whitaker at the helm.

Flux was poorly executed in the end but I do really like the whole order vs chaos theme which runs through it. The Division and the time lords want to create order and gain control over time, where as the Ravagers embrace entropy and use that as an excuse to create chaos. Meanwhile the Doctor is far from both extremes. This is a great extension of major themes in Gallifreyan lore. These are phenomenal ideas just waiting to get milked out, and I hope the centenary special and expanded media do them justice. I also really hope that EU writers find a way to fit the guardians into this conflict, because they are the perfect characters to use for an order vs chaos battle.

@@DrWhoFanJ Sweetie, it requires zero 'brain power' to discern poor art when it graces you. My opinion is as subjective as your own., though your inability to fathom so while chocking it down to 'raw intelligence' is laughably childish. What is objective, however, is the dismal ratings Dr Who became subject to ever since Jodie flopped herself through the Tardis doors and butchered an iconic national character to no end.

@@c4ve873 Again, unless, of course, you are fortunate enough to possess a functioning brain, in which you will know none of that is true. Your “opinion” is nothing but lies. The ratings are not “dismal” in any way; you are (like most others of your ilk) conveniently ignoring the global downwards trend in *all* viewing figures across all media as the ever-expanding plethora of things to watch results in the world population being far more spread across them all. This means that *all* programmes have fewer viewers than before (unless, of course, several billions of new people have arrived on the planet in the last few days, and I really don’t think they have). I’m sorry you’re incapable of actually bothering to think before your type your nonsensical lying tirades, but your (lack of) intelligence is not my problem.

I'm making a condensed version of Classic Doctor Who. Most four part stories will last between 40 and 55 minutes, and most six part stories between 80 and 100 minutes. An Unearthly Child is exceptionally long for a 4 part story because I decided to keep the first part intact. Therefore this version of the story is composed of the first part, followed by a 40 minutes version of the last three parts. Enjoy ! archive.org/details/doctorwhoreduxanunearthlychild
