Ukraine has been invaded by Russia. Entire Ukrainian families are fleeing, either to other countries or to other parts of the country. And we are seeing that these families are NOT leaving their dogs and cats behind. Our admiration for these people for whom their pets are family members is enormous. We wish them all the courage they need to continue!

I had te same reaction as Victor, when y saw the news on Cnn. And now y can see, true the video Victor shows us, that the animals are in shock, traumatised, in fear? They not running away. I've never seen this before. They feel the fear of there owners because of this awfull situation they are in right now.

Viktor dear , me too i noticed that Ukrainians people seems to care so much about their animals . I was so surprised to witness how caring they are. Everyone tries to organize transport to go to Ukraine and pick up as many animals possible from shelters and those who ere abandoned by escaping people. Unfortunately situation becomes more and more dangerous so most probably action will end soon 😟

What makes me sad is all the thousands and thousands animals left behind. I really believe that most people probably did leave their animals behind, because when you show pictures of the hundreds of thousands of people fleeing all I see is maybe five or six animals with a few of them. That is truly heartbreaking. I could never leave my animals behind.

@@sunnydaze2359 you are right, at the train station in Berlin there are just a few people with their pets! Most of the animals ARE left behind 😢 You only can take your pet if you have your own car and if it's not too big. What about bigger dogs, horses, goats.. They are still in Ukraine 😢

My mom in the 2nd world war was a young woman & one-night Granddad got them up to go to the air-raid shelter as the sirens went off. They were bombing us but my mom jumped over the garden fence to get our dog & take him to the air-raid shelter with them. Luckily they all survived & granddad did shout at my mom, but she didn't care as she loved her dog more than anything.

Yes I’ve seen pictures on the internet of Ukrainians escaping with both their children and family pets I saw a man carrying 2 cats in his arms how he was going to manage 2 adult cats I don’t know feeding and watering but I was still delighted to see so many people that loved their animals almost as much as their children.

@@whitecat3923 unfortunately that’s true I was watching a case on the tv about a mother that escaped with two young children and as she did she said a tearful goodbye to her 2 dogs and a cat but they’d been under fire so they had to take their chance to get away but it was very sad about their family pets I was very upset but understood how she had no choice her hands were full with 2 young kids😢

UK , Irish & USA animal charities are at the Ukraine & Polish border helping out with food & vet care at the temporary Polish animal shelters there. They are also helping rescue strays & pets left behind in the bombed areas . International Wildlife charities are rescuing the Zoo animals to other Zoos & sanctuaries worldwide. You Tube has videos on both the small pet rescue efforts & the lions, tigers, monkeys, Zebra etc rescues which have already sent Zoo animals to sanctuaries & Zoos overseas. Love & support to Ukraine from the UK . (UK has a rehoming scheme for refugees up & running)

I agree with you, this is an exceptional moment in history in regards to the love and protection of animals and the fact that recipient refugee countries have waived their veterinary restrictions to allow these animals free passage into their countries.

I too have been noticing this and sought out rescues to donate to. I am in awe of the people of Ukraine. My deepest and most humbled respect for them all. Integrity in today's world is hard to find but now I understand... they are in Ukraine. The images break me ... I can't imagine the pain they are experiencing but still they stand strong... I feel honored to be in their presence. RESPECT!

I spoke with my close friend in Kyiv today. He is crazy cat lover. He told me today that had rescued 2 kitties yesterday from the street, today he had to leave Kyiv with his elderly father to escape the bombs. He took the kitties with him. Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦. Yeah it would have been much worse to leave your animals alone in fear and without food and water, though I understand too if some where not able to take their pets. Absolutely heartbreaking pictures, the animals don't understand what is going on, it must be so stressful for them but at least many seem to be together with their family.

I am literally overwhelmed Victor because just two days ago I was complaining that medias never lose words of animals when it comes to environmental disasters and wars apart from some individuals in social media. I am glad to see some news coverage of what is happening to these poor displaced people and their pets. What is sad is that you know some Ukrainians will leave their animals behind to fend for themselves. Not everyone in every country is going to care about the most helpless among us. You see that in so many of Viktor's videos in the past, animals being abandoned. So tragic.

I'm so relieved that the people are taking their animals with them. That warms my heart so much. We have several cats, a feral cat we feed & a large dog who we rescued out of the Desert here when he was 10 months old (this area seems to be a dumping ground for dogs & cats). So watching all the Ukrainian Families carrying their pets (even Fish) to get to safety is just so emotional & I pray for all of them every day - that is the only way I can help. Judi

Let me show my respect to people of Ukraine who still take care of their pets whilst at war. In Hong Kong, there had been numerous numbers of pets abandoned by their owners who left for UK in recent years.

GREAT video! THANK YOU, Viktor, for posting this! In times of distress, people tend to forget the animals. These animals suffer just as much or even more than people because they do not understand why humans cause wars. People need to be more compassionate to each other and to animals💕🌏🌎🌍🕊🕊🕊

I know I personally would NOT leave if I couldn’t take my kitties! I pray for those in the Ukraine and their fur babies! This is all so heartbreaking and to much to grasp! I can’t even believe this is even happening! But the one good thing is the humanity and empathy being shown toward the Ukrainian residents ❤️

Many in such situation abandons their pets which is wrong.Hats off to people who didn't left their animals & took them with them.Hope stray animals are safe.

Heartbreaking stories, seeing humans and animals worring faces for their safty. Animals are members of a family and you can see in their faces, understanding how their family suffer. My heart goes out to all of them. God bless Ukraine for i believe love will never be defeated in the face of evil.

Thank God. These pets are family too. Thank goodness for other countries to let them bring their animals with them. God bless everyone .hopefully everything will be over soon. So they can go back to their homes.
