I just realized in doom eternal , the main menu music actually is just opening to hell from doom 2 , I love the fact this also isn't the only time old doom songs were incorporated into the newer osts 🙂✨

the game rips may be lower quality but damn they really make the music sound a lot cooler. they give it that extra bass feel that everyone’s always been wanting ever since doom 2016 came out. you know, since doom 2016 also had some really really good bass too

I freakin love the music by BOBBY PRINCE. OPENING TO HELL has a John WILLIAMS JAWS vibe to it . Aubrey Hodges also did the music for PLAYSTATION DOOM which came out in 1995 . Thanks for the video 🙂

Doom's soundtrack are amazing. Doom 1 and 2 had awesome homages to metal soundtracks while also making some of their own songs for the games. Doom 64 had an creepy ost with ''songs'' like breakdown. Doom 3 had the same vibe. 2016 and eternal is were people usually say that its the best ID has made, though if I had my opinion Quake 2 has the best soundtrack ID has made.

I have listened to Immora (aka Headstomp) super heavy fighting more time than I can count. The double bass David Levy used for that track is so heavy and crunchy it could destroy neutron stars. Man had the best drums of any DOOM track, I think, in that one. Perfect heavy metal clusterfuck type of song to close out one of the best FPS games ever made.

Fun fact: The doom 1993 soundtrack took some parts from heavy metal songs from the 80s and 90s such as Metallica songs

I actually think that there are tier S+ osts: they are in TNT Evilution: Final Doom. Is there a reason why you didn't show them? I find it difficult to not mention Into the Beast's Belly or Death Bells for example. To not mention Legion of The Lost and other pretty cool ones.

i was looking up the best doom songs for myself and was pleasantly surprised to find your video and how much we agreed on the the list the only differnce was i placed doom 3 above 64 because i prefer doom 3's main theme to 64's. Although it makes sense that these game have bad soundtracks compared to other entires as both wanted to be horror games, i wouldnt feel scared if i heard BFG division blasing in my ears.

If I didn’t know who was under the doomslayer armor, I would said it was Mick Gordon. I mean the music fits perfectly with the game. And I agree with the ranking of the video. 10|10

into sandy's city is an amazing OST. how can you forget that one. or the one used in Barrols o fun.

In DooM the player faces massive creatures from Hell, lives through horror itself while trying to survive and escape the base and then Hell. In DooM II, the player is far used to the situation and is a bit more "relaxed" than he was during the first encounter. And takes revenge instead of trying to survive. I think the OST resembles that quite well. Whether it was intentional from idSoftware or not.

Doom and Doom 2 are both S-tier without a shadow of a doubt. Doom 2 had some of the best ambient music of all. Not all music must rip and tear your ear all the time.

I am very surprised that this is the only real DOOM music tier list. On the topic, I listen to TAG osts mostly, but Doom 3 actually gets 1 point for inspiring Mick to make Arrival on Mars for Doom:Eternal !
