This dude’s eyes light up when he talks about drugs. A true addict. Nothing will ever fill that void for him. You can see the change in his personality immediately. Poor guy.

Jeff Jampol. Born 1959. So, he was Joplin´s and The Doors manager when he was 15 years old? Wow. Drugs must have been pretty powerful back then...

He tried it because of social pressure, wanting to be cool. Ruined years of his life probably. So where is the social pressure to be healthy and dry; doesnt exist, it's the opposite, tell someone "no thanks I dont do that" and they get offended, often critically offended. American consumerism at its worst. Music still churns out song after song with "gettin drunk" in the first verse's lyrics, musicians selling out.

I didn’t even watch this interview, The description really turned me off. I’ve never been impressed by someone that was a drug addict or homeless. I’m more impressed with people that don’t get caught up in drugs also, which I think you were alluding to. 👍🏻 It actually bothers me to see addicts giving testimonials. I think it just shows that one in a million drug addicts don’t OD, and actually find success. I think it’s just something that shouldn’t be brought up, as it seems to glamorize it in someway for people that are easily influenced. A lot of people take that as saying that they can just do drugs until close to death, but they will be fine and successful eventually. I was fortunate, when I was younger, I would just say I’m not interested. I really wasn’t. I never needed anything like that to fit in, or be funny and make people laugh. For years I saw drugs all around me, and most of my friends did them. And I mean, I was as wild and crazy as anyone. I played the Sunset Strip in the later 80s-and we all know how that was. Just something in me-nature and nurture-allowed me to not even think twice about saying no. I found the older kids envied that. A lot of the older guys would just say took keep practicing, and to not even do drugs. So that was cool. But I do think there’s major pressure for people to be healthy. I mean the ridiculous pharmaceutical industry makes billions off supplements that simply don’t do anything. We call that, expensive urine. But especially for younger kids, girls, the pressure to be fit and healthy can be overwhelming, from what I understand. And yes, I don’t think we hear enough about those success stories. Which are much better than some drug addict, even if genetically predispositions to be an addict, almost killed him or herself. I say, just keep that to yourself, and I’m glad everything is better. But most people do not need to hear that.👍🏻🇺🇸🎸
