One of the greatest of all time!!!

Did you know Mr Mojo Risin is an anagram for the singer Jim Morrison? Pretty cool uh! I got my Mojo Risin!

Morrison was a hedonist but had a solid grasp of western philosophy, history and poetry. His favorite poet was Arthur Rimbaud.

You would also love the end, roadhouse blues, the soft parade, my wild love just to name a few.

If you like poetry, history and philosophy then "The Doors," scratch that itch. When I discovered The Doors, I was a junior in High School and Morrison had been dead a decade. During that time, I vowed I would own Morrison's published book of poetry, "The Lords and The New Creatures." 1970. A slim volume, but Morrison was no slouch in writing. I do own it! 1st ed and not price clipped.

THE DOORS, "L.A . WOMAN". When I first heard the DOORS with Their First hit song, "LIGHT MY FIRE" in 1967 I was 10. Yet I've been into music for going on 4 years by then. I knew though, LIGHT MY FIRE was way ahead of it's time. L.A.WOMAN the song was about the city of Los Angeles. Sadly it was one of the final tracks. Prior to Jim Morrison's death at age 27. The DOORS music was timeless. Heck with haters. More "RIDERS ON THE STORM", "CHRYSTAL SHIP"... The Doors were a rockin jazz band. 1 of a kind. HoF!

When I was young, I didn't like the gritty, blues side of The Doors, I liked the existential songs more. Now older, I appreciate the raw depressing blues.

When this album was recorded Morrison was looking at hard time for the "incident," in Miami. There are many "what-ifs," but what if Morrison had been convicted and done some prison time. Today he'd be old and a director of many films.

You know...the voice of Jim Morrison ..is so sad...! Strange ..😳

Electra had given up on The Doors and this album was self-produced.
