Too bad he erased the Lizard King section of the audio! I was at that concert in 1968 in the front row! Morrison got extremely pissed off at the entire audience while he was doing his poetry thing and all the background noises going on for 15 min! The crowd got restless and he started yelling at all of us to Shut the F_ck up. A memorable Morrison moment to say the least!

The doors was the only band that sounded like this and thats the way it is.

Crazy. A sold out LA Forum (huge crowd at the time) and they had no idea what they were listening to and wanted to hear only one song. Many say this is what prompted Jim's indifference and (sometimes) outright anger toward the people at those concerts around that time (late 68 into early 69), and it all came to a head at Miami.

Omg! Thank you for this. I was actually watching Rock Legends on TV. It was about Jerry Lee Lewis. They mentioned he opened for the Doors at this concert. I'm a BiG Doors and Lerry Lee Lewis fan and I didn't even know.

I love Who Scared You, I've adored that song since I was 16 and heard it on a cassette of Weird Scenes Inside The Gold Mine. All the accounts of this show say the audience kept yelling for light my fire and was pissing off the Doors. Interesting the way he ends Celebration of the Lizard with what sound like lines from The Wasp (Texas Radio), or scraps of his poems. Wish we could get a better audio on this. Beautiful, just the same.

I knew I heard a bass guitar! Harvey Brooks played bass with them at this show.

The rare live version of "Who Scared You" was incredible. Too bad they didn't play that elusive song more often...during this epic '68 tour. Nevertheless, great concert from '68!

There's a lot that is good about this recording, and a little that is not so good. There might be a way to filter the hollow sound out of it. Sounds like a great show and a great night. And a great choice of songs too.

The recording on this is like 10x better than the sound quality than most Hendrix shows~maybe FDReferenceLibrary can do some justice to this tape.......it always boggles my mind why there aren't more *TheDoors* and *JimiHendrix* soundboard recordings~i know a bunch of *hendrix* fans hoard soundboards....then one sees so many soundboard of GratefulDead from same era~its like it was orchestrated that way to dumb the masses w/GratefulDead instead of hearing the real deal kings *TheDoors*
