I was there..Morrison had written a poem dedicated to the recently deceased Brian Jones, everyone there got a copy…A minor riot broke out when people from a teenage fair across the street heard the Doors were playing and they wanted in……I’m pretty sure Bo Diddley, Love, Canned Heat and a few other groups were there…Tickets were about $7 dollars……

Wow, this is the highest-quality live Doors recording I've ever heard. It sounds crystal clear. Amazing.

1:08:41 while you are listening to Ray Manzerek solo, you are so mesmerized already, here is Ray Manzarek, playing regular keyboard that usually takes someone else two hands. The band don't have a bass player, the other hand is doing the "duh duh da dut" over and over. He compartmentalizes each hand. Often when Jim Morrison was not theee due to whatever happened to be the reason, he did all those, and sung the lyrics to the song. So they didn't go home leaving the fans mad, they played without him. I seen it and it's just such mind blowing.

I saw them when I was fifteen/sixteen and had been to a couple of different bands shows prior. I gotta tells ya the sound was impeccable. I was totally blown away. It has to be one of my top five shows ever. What a night!

The true PINNACLE of a live Doors show, for sure. Absolute top shelf… Thanks. The Aquarius theater still stands (fenced off) just across the street from the Palladium theater in Hollywood. Trippy painting on the outside of it, last I saw.. Would have love to experience this show, but now here it is, a sonic gift!!😁🎸🌊🏄‍♂️🌊😎

I have to say this ranks up at the top of the Doors best live shows in both performance and sound quality and Jim even sounds close to being unbelievably half-sober. And some rare live cuts: Touch Me, The Crystal Ship, Blue Sunday and one of the best alt live versions of Light My Fire and W.T.M.O (Really good performance, at least on my list.) Whole show sounds absolutely great in headphones and AirPod Pro’s. Even some rare pics accompanying the music. Many thanks for sharing!

THANK YOU!! For posting this, nice slideshow. I heard this thru my Bose Headphones 🎧 QuietComfort ones and it sounds phonemonal. This will be going in my favorites to jam on many occasions trust me. It's so great cause you go do a search, hesr some new stuff, then you wait about a year and do the same search and get lot of good stuff. Like after the first album for Elektra, they did like well over 200 shows beforw they started on Strange Days. It was the absolute prime of the acid trips, and before huge cracks started with the band between them. They are all different, stamped with a unique take or version of the album stuff and often other shit. Poems, suprise songs, improvised lyrics. This is recorded well, top quality stuff. Glad to found it and again Thank You.

If he wasn't (too) drunk or stoned, he put on a great show with awesome natural talent and wonderful vocals. If in the other state, the show was a flop. That grew very old for the rest of the bandmates. THIS was a good show for the group.
