My issue with jlo is how i always feel she is trying too hard, too inauthentic...to scared to be perceived as less than glamorous and amazing...even in movies where she pretends to play as a maid it is still overly glamorous like she is too good to be anything but a queen. It turns me off.

She's an industry plant. She doesn't even sing most of her songs. For years pop culture has sustained these pseudo-artists who have been foisted upon us, but people are starting to wake up and realize who truly has talent, and who doesn't. It's really up to society to support true artists and not reward these fame-seeking pretenders. So, as badly as I feel for her receiving all this negative press lately, it's really just a product of karma.

The dance team considered her one of the weaker dancers. Then she finds Diddy and then Ben & who knows how many other executives helped her out. She slept her way into a career.

She was a plant from the get. Her manager hired her after his divorce with mariah Carey, in an attempt to take her down and steal her hits from under her. J lo was given songs off mariah next album delaying it left and right. She's a lip sync singer who has stolen vocals from too many; Meghan trainer, Ashanti, etc. She rode the selena wave, then moved to her Jenny from the block Era, than leaned in to being the preference when dating diddy and clearly wanted a Britney/justin moment and milked her relationship with Affleck until it broke the first time. She's a very talented dancer, however it was barely leaned in to. Ciara leaned in, jlo and her team seem to fight it every step of the way.

So when they announced it was going to be Shakira and J.Lo at the Super Bowl I was like why Jennifer Lopez 🤨Because literally (I don't know if you're Latina) but none of us Latinas F with her or her music! The only explanation for this that I could come up with is that the NFL knows NOTHING about Latin music and thought that Shakira didn't have a big enough name recognition (😂) so they threw in the only American Latina "singer" they could think of which is J.Lo. To this day I'm still pissed that Shakira had to cut her Super Bowl time for J.Lo 😤 But I will say I did see some people really excited for J.Lo but it was primarily Puerto Ricans and some New Yorkers.

I agree that her team isn't advising her well. The way that one person was referring to the wedding was weird. "He has that wedding that he is in....." Who refers to the actual GROOM as just being "in" a wedding? You would say, "he's not available; he's getting married," or when she asked, "What wedding?" You'd say, "It's HIS wedding."The way she said,"he has that wedding." And then continued to just say, "the wedding he is in." And "he's not missing that wedding." Made it sound like he had a gig or something that wouldn't be a big deal to cancel.

I personally loved the project just because I had gone through a break up and found the movie relatable. BUT as a jlo fan she made some crazy mistakes with this project 1. There were no hit singles on the album 2. She did an album interview with Zak saying the album was coming out in summer…the album came out over a year later after that interview. 3. The lyrics throughout were sloppy “bling bling and ring ring” 1 time 2 time I be loving you until the end of time…just sounds so amateur and unprofessional for an artist of her level. 4. The mixing was awful some songs sounded too autotuned and nothing like Jlo voice. 5. The album should have been released while there was still hype around her and Ben being back together she said that the album was done…people lost interest a year later

If you want to keep exhausting the story that you’re from the Bronx, put your money , where your mouth is. I always thought Jlo was over hyped. I will admit back in the day, with the Selna movie and I did buy some of her early records, but I feel she is at a crossroads in her career, where she is no longer the it girl. Don't get me wrong, she looks great for her age, and a great dancer, (better than Lady B)but I think she is no longer the it girl. I never liked her movies. She made some of the worst Romantic comedies I haver ever seen. the reason her career is shrinking is because of her. JLO put more into JLO it was hard to go to a movie to see her act as another character, or her music(which was starting to sound the same) .I agree that perhaps she should have played Vegas, put out a greatest hit album , maybe record one or two songs on it, and just do a great Vegas show, now i think she is just a celebrity

Residency is a great idea. Celine Dion dit it for years and her shows were sold out. But with J Lo there is a problem. She isn’t that good live without her auto tunes, ghost singers and stuff while celine is an immensely talented vocal artist, may be even at the top 5 of all times. J lo is an entertainer more than an artist but that doesn’t mean she can’t pull it off though.

I think that she’s delusional! She has never been on a Beyoncé or Taylor level ever in her career, but people are afraid to tell her. She’s allegedly not a nice person to be around. I read somewhere that her staff ( accept from her personal assistant ) are not allowed to look at her in the eyes if they have to speak to her… Then there’s the Benifer thing that isn’t a thing anymore, not even close to what it was back in the day! There’s a reason that “ the greatest love story never told “ never has been told - nobody, and I mean NOBODY asked for it! In my opinion she should focus on her family and her and Ben’s marriage because he looks miserable!

She's narcissistic and egotistical. She's also overbearing and forces her will on everyone. She's known for her mistreatment of service workers and the average person. Not a good human being at all. Why keep enriching someone like that buying these high priced tickets when she's so uncharitable and unkind. You'll just be throwing away your hard earned money to watch her Milli Vanilli act. It's better spent on yourselves and your families.

Beyonce also won't let people look her in the eye, though. I've never liked JLo except for the only great thing she ever did, that was accepting the role as Selena. Y'all have to remember that, because of that movie, she has millions of fans that Caucasian America never even noticed. Too bad the ticket prices are unaffordable for the generations of people who really loved her in that movie.

It's SO obvious JLo wanted this to be like her big 'Lemonade' moment with an album and a 'visual companion' piece in the movie and documentary that would skyrocket her to the next stage of her career where we all took her more seriously.

I feel like someone pitched that to her. "Bey and Tay did it! Ur JLo!" And she was like..."by George, you're right! I'm just as good as them!" And they were like "Sure you are! You can do this!" And she was like, "you're right! I can! Thanks guys! Thanks for always believing in me!" And then skipped out of the meeting to go pick out costumes.

She just has the most unappealling personality. A remember articles from like twenty years ago and she sounded completely insufferable. And there's no nostalgia aspect to her music. None. It's not about a test of time thing. It was never good to begin with.

I think blaming this flop on her team is very naive. J-Lo seems like the type of person that would think so highly of herself and would assume people would lap all this up and would probably ignore her teams advice even if they tried to give her a reality check.
