@crisemm5207 lol at no point did Miley come off as "extremely sexy". Being mostly naked does not mean "feminine" either. She was not feminine at all in her 20s, especially with that masculine hair and middle school boy body. She was feminine in her teenage years though.

Exactly, ghee people make it there entire personality when it's really not that big of a deal. Gay people have the same legal status as straight people in many countries and are not oppressed so they do not need to keep needlessly bringing attention to themselves as if it's their entire personality when it's really a small part of who they are.
@Heejinbunny
@Heejinbunny 3 ай бұрын
@@thecensoredmuscle563I semi-understand them as a form of protest in countries or histirocally when gay people don't or didn't have rights (i don't agree witg the idea of coming out but if their being arrested or hunted down for it thats a problem)but at this stage they are completely unnecessary and just as ridiculous as straight pride which everyone is quick to make fun of for it's idiocy. Why do we apply a different logic to gay pride when they have the same legal status and the concept is really no different - it is so illogical as given they have the exact same legal status and rights coming out should not be celebrated, encouraged or viewed as brave. They should be able to live in peace and be celebrating for a lctual achievements instead of meaningless sexuality.

I remember a few years ago, when she had just turned 18. People were theorizing that she would take the "miley cyrus" road and start acting disgusting and overly edgy. I had hope that she wouldn't take that road. But I guess I was wrong, huh? Sometimes this is what happens to child stars, they're so tired of their sweet, innocent image that once they become an adult, they want to separate from it so bad that they act like this. Children shouldn't be stars. They should be allowed to be children, and teenagers. Siwa was unfortunately robbed of both. I'm not saying the government should step in and ban it or something, I just do wish it wasn't a thing. Unfortunately it will never go away though.

I was thinking about this after watching the Nickelodeon documentary. We "need" child actors for certain roles in movies and television. To not have any children in movies or on TV shows would be weird. Which made me realize the problem isn't that we have child stars........ the problem is that the people who run the entertainment industry are not taking good enough care of the child stars, nor are their parents! There needs to be more scrutiny when children are on the set. And there needs to be a support system to help them deal with the transition to adulthood which often includes waning popularity. Their contracts should include money set aside for counseling, and physical check-ups, and things like that.
@Heejinbunny

@@lisaleone2296 I agree movies where adults play children are just weird and feel off. However, child actors or performers are not protected enough and there need to be safety nets in place to allow them a safe transition to adulthood, a decent education and protect them from abuse on set. However, this sadly isn't happening leading child stars unable to cope with growing up and knowing how to act, leading them to act bizarre in chasing attention. If they are better protected, hopefully they'll be able to be better equipped with skills for adulthood and better able to cope with the changes that having to leave their old personal behind may bring

TL;DR: Child psychology is very complex, especially with no two children the same and the specificity of some stages of development, but the gist is that finding authentic identity via normal validation pathways, meaning knowing who you are and behaving in keeping, even under pressure, requires the adults to do their jobs and provide security (feeling of safety), consistency (of consequences), stability (of environment), along with teaching intrinsic and internal valuation and validation. There is a whole section of psychology dedicated to childhood development. Children have very specific peak developmental periods for different skills and pieces of their psychology, e.g. concrete vs abstract, language learning, empathy, walking, identity, etc. while others can be picked up as long as the basics have already been stored, i.e. knitting if you already know how to hold a pencil, relearning skills after stroke. However, lack of normal cues or the presence of expedited cues can delay this acquisition, especially relating to identity, and especially if the underlying framework, consistency, security, stabile environment, and normal validation is missing, e.g. attention as external validation of identity rather than internal satisfaction or “fit”. If they become delayed in one, it’s not a sure sign that they will always be delayed but they can be, and often what we perceive as immaturity is someone stuck in a “younger”, i.e. rebellious in your 20s, phase.

She was not coerced to suffer within the matrix of teenage rebellious angst. Alternatively, she mocked it. That's the type of JoJo with the BowBow I think everyone saw as unconventionally entertaining. Misha brings up a good point that her onset of this retaliative behavior is a delay from the time she was a teenager on Dance Moms.

Children's behaviour is determined by what they get love for doing and what they are punished for doing. In the case of child stars they are given love when they gather attention and are given punishment when they don't. It's a really sad way to be brought up and why I can't think of a single child star who is well adjusted today. When your whole life is about getting attention for people who are essentially strangers turning to drugs and other external sources of feeling good is extremely likely

Online being gay, bi, or trans doesn't seem like a big deal and everyone seems to be some part of the LGBTQ community, but that's just the vocal woke minority that makes it seem that way because they enshrine it. Being gay and coming out to your family, friends, extended family, that's still hard and it can be a painful and difficult process. Being an exception to the norm comes with hurdles. Sure I don't want to be celebrated and I don't think I should be, but those 13 years in the closet weren't a cakewalk either.

Totally true and understandable that coming out as anything other than heterosexual can be hard (I don't give any credence to any of the gender nonsense or anything that starts with "I identify as..."). I wish you well in your life, I was in the Gay-Straight Alliance in high school because I wanted to help end bullying of gay and bi teenagers. I think the only issues people have now is the force-teaming of homosexuality/bisexuality with "trans"/gender stuff, when those two are not only unrelated, but antithetical to each other. Transgender ideology is explicitly homophobic. The other issue being the way people now, whether actually gay or bi or just posing, make it their whole personality (and as you pointed out, this is MOSTLY an online thing (but some people are like that IRL, it's... cringe).

@venus_envy
@venus_envy 3 ай бұрын
Totally. "Trans" isn't even a real thing, as in, you can't see it in brain scans (the people that claim you can are ironically coopting a study which shows that homosexuals CAN be identified via brain scans, which had an incredibly small sample size, anyway), you can't find any genetic markers for it, and the definition of it, especially since it's no longer considered a mental illness (for some reason), is so vague that ANYONE can qualify. The amount of actual homosexuals in the world remains static, about 2% (with slight fluctuations and variations between males and females), bisexuals are a slightly higher number. If you believe recent polling, among the younger demographics (18-25, for example), it would seem some ~25% are now "LGBTQ+". Well, what does that mean when you put ALL those letters together as if it's one category, when it's actually several different ones that encompass every sexuality (including heterosexuality) and every "gender expression" (including having a funky hair colour)? Basically it means nothing. It certainly doesn't mean there's being sudden jump in homosexuality and bisexuality (maybe there's more bisexuals, though, or at least people trying it once and then wearing the label for many years). The vast majority of this ~23% increase is from the last three symbols: "TQ+". People who dyed their hair blue, people who feel guilty for being white so they need to be "non-binary" now, people who watched too much corn and now have a fetish for pretending to be the opposite sex, etc. That's really all this is. So yeah, you are absolutely right. And most people who, God willing, don't medicalize themselves over this, will grow out of it. And I hope the force-teaming of LGBs and TQ+ ends soon. I know most gay people are against it. As they should be, given transgenderism is blatantly a homophobic ideology in theory and in practice. @@Heejinbunny

She kind of reminds me of a friend I had during middle school. She had like this joyful and artistic personality and she was always nice with her friends, then high school came up so we lost contact and during high school the lockdown appeared and she just lost her mind. And I mean, yeah, she was always kind of a woke person but she was more moderated and you could be friends with her even if you had different ideals. But after lockdown she just became annoying, she is having a huge gender crisis that I never understood (btw, I'm a trans girl, but that's the point, the way she manages her gender identity is so disorganized and seems just so random that I really can't buy the idea that she is a trans boy, I think that she is just seeking for attention and trying to fit in woke circles). So yeah, even tho I put a lot of my time, money and attention on my transition process I don't go around posting it online as if it was some sort of public show and making it a big part of my personality as this old friend does. I just really talk about it with close people and that's it, I think that real trans ppl don't go around screaming about they being trans, since what real trans ppl want is to look and feel as the wished gender as much as possible.
