The Drag Racing Legend You Should Know

For decades, the debate of the greatest driver has been a heated discussion. Many fans have tried to argue between drivers from different eras with vastly different resources. From arguments like Hamilton vs Schumacher in Formula 1, Jimmie Johnson vs Richard Petty in NASCAR, or Mario Andretti vs Scott Dixon in Indycar. But there always seems to be a variable in each argument for a driver who left their career with an open ending after leaving too soon who had benchmark-setting careers but never had a chance to finish it. With various racers such as Aytron Senna, Dale Earnhardt, and Greg Moore to name a few. Leaving their fans pondering what if trying to guess just what they could've done, and leaving a hole in the heart of their respective series with no one able to fill it.
In this video, we will discuss one of drag racing all-time legends and one of pro stock motorcycle biggest icons.

Thank you for this great tribute! I was inspired by the Eagle One bike and had to have a 1000 R bodied bike. At the 89 IDBA Fire Cracker Nationals, just days before picking up chassis parts and that new body for the new build, Dave came peddling up on his bicycle to check out our trailer, A race trailer converted from a old Airstream. It and the few other times we met and talked were a great honor, some of my more colorful drag race stories!

As a kid that watched more NHRA Today than cartoons….this man was truly superhuman to me. Before I knew anything about what I was watching back then…..I did know the name….Dave Schultz and that he was the best! 😎❤️ Thanks for awesome work! Drag Racing needs its stories told.😎🔥

I used to go to the drags primarily to watch Dave, and Russ Collins. Back in the 1980's at Baylands Raceway in Freemont CA. (R.I.P.) It was such a fine balance of power/traction/ability to wrangle those 2 strokes. The four stroke dragbikes of the day were boring in comparison. Dave was a legend.

Very good video!. Just as a tip tho. Your breath is pretty loud. You should simply mute your microphone while the other people are talking:). Other then that great vid like I said!

Dave was the man, greatest of all time in my opinion. There will never be another true professional rivalry as good as Schultz and Myers I remember Paul telling me and my Dad the alligator story years ago when we were all at Greg Copes shop. 😂
