Meet Buraki, the vicious, 200-meter long Imoogi serpent from ancient Korea. 4:33-4:49 I like this little scene here. Imoogi mocks his opponent by soaring past him and higher in the sky, while Burakki can only watch him from the ground. He has been denied his chance to obtain the power that could let him reign in heavens and he roars out of anger, envy and despair. He has been bested. Another 500 years wasted.

The scream Buraki does while he’s burning from the inside out is my definition of “agony”. 14 years have passed since I watched this for the first time and it still haunts me…
