This was such a great example oif a movie where almost ALL the budget went to creature effects and almost none to script ot quality storytelling. The effects in this movie were crazy for the time and the final scene is just awesome :)

The one and only movie that featured a full scale battle between a kind of LORD OF THE RINGS army of magical creatures and a modern day army. I love it.😁 Especially after REIGN OF FIRE teased with a similar battle on the posters that didnt happen in the movie..😢

Im not an expert at military stratagies but.... For the dragons they could have just used huey helicopters with mounted machine guns For the ground forcers they could have spread the forces by sorrounding the enemy M2 bradleys and stryker units could have been used in the battle due to the light weight it could move fast Also they could have used rpgs,javlins and more heavy weopons but since they were less prepared i get that they lost

this is a tank actor, they used an old British tank and disguised it as Abrams, I came across such a tank actor in many films, Godzilla 2014, Iron Man, Hulk, this movie, etc.

@@vazak11 I mean there are plenty of other things to critique. Why was no air power used other than Apache's? Why did the Apaches get so low to engage targets? Why did they only use their chainguns and hellfires, but not their rocket pods? Why didn't the ground forces maneuver? Why weren't anti-tank and anti-air shoulder fired rockets used? Why weren't grenades used? Why were the tanks so inaccurate? The only redeeming part of this scene is when the Apache's showed up and brought back the light of day in true heroic fashion, the rest is just horribly bad writing and screenplay.

LOL that lot would've lasted about 30 seconds against modern military equipment. Why do films always get this wrong? Even Avengers did it, battle of New York would have been over in about 5 minutes - they go pew pew pew but we can go BRRRRRRRRRRR.

I think I remember back in 2010 or 2012 when syfy did show this during that time because the film was released in 2007 and I used to have it on DVD but I really they could remastered this movie because the film was 1h 30m and I really wish was 2h or 3h long with more story telling 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Da hätte man einiges besser machen können, man sieht kaum Verletzungen bei den Monstern, die müssten doch in Fetzten geschossen werden, auch bei den zerstören der Panzern sieht es unrealistisch aus. Ansonsten sind es schön Aktion Szenen.
