As a victim of grooming, I appreciate that you touched base on the fake dream account making a mockery of the situation and real victims. Having to come across multiple hit tweets joking about my trauma is distasteful and it doesn't seem to come across as those people care for real victims.

This! I believe it’s easy to tell who genuinely cares about children and victims because they don’t make grooming and pedo jokes constantly, minors and parents have even been harassed going to in person events with those types of comments/jokes :/

Grooming is not "just messaging someone underage." Its more in depth, its a huge betrayal of misguided trust from a minor; just talking to someone underage makes you a creep, sure, but throwing the word groomer around so casually, as alot of ppl are these days, just takes away from its actual meaning.

@galacticgremlin That's harsh. Mania causes lots of people to not be able to regulate themselves properly. Mix that with no therapy (an assumption) and substances, you have this video. He has apologized and is apparently not using as much since. I'm still on Gumballs' side since Dream is worse.

@@galacticgremlinI'm schizoaffective, and I have manic episodes that are similar to this. I don't say racist things or anything similar, but I do apparently get hostile and say some fucked up things. I don't remember much of it when it happens, but I do try and correct my actions and avoid whatever caused the episode afterward.

Here's the thing. Grooming in itself is not "messaging a minor." The kids throwing around the word grooming like that need to know what it means. Here is the definition of grooming. "when someone builds a relationship, trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them." Is it looking good for Dream right now? No..its not. What I also am not a fan of is the way that dreamwastalen is making fun of the situation..like its funny to talk about? Its not? I've been groomed and let me tell you its NOT funny. When you end up realizing it? Its horrifying. To be completely real here, I've never liked Dream. And that's probably not fair of me to say. But I really don't think its looking good for him from an outside perspective.

@@robbie-the-bee dream didn’t give him drinks, he met him that night. And nick asked to be recorded, but Dream was not doing the recording, what did you want Dream to do? Supervise a fucking 20 year old man? That’s not his responsibility to do that for someone he met that night. The person who was the host of this party is at fault for giving an alcoholic drink to someone underage. Stop throwing Dream into the equation when he was just present and was also a victim of assault, mind you. Nick told him he wanted to fight him, him having a manic episode is not an excuse for that behavior

@@Dragonflies2468 well of it wasn't important then why did you mention it but you completely ignored the fact that Nick was talking to the person who spoke up and looked directly at the person recording making it obvious dream and why ignore that fact, it is important regardless of if he asked to be recorded or not he was looking at the person who he was speaking to, if you don't catch my drift dream said something Nick looked at him and where the looked happened to be where the camera was soooo I' don't know if you look at someone else when your are talking to a specific person but that is not the case here

Even if Dream didn’t send the girl nude photos or get sexual with her in any way, it’s still really inappropriate for him to have talked to her and blatantly flirted with her. It’s also obvious from the messages that the girl was underage (the specific message that said ‘18 soon’ which is obvious that she was 17 at the time) as well. Even if her bio said she was 18 like Dream is saying, she did tell him over messages that that wasn’t the case. He knew her age, whether he wants to admit it or not and he still flirted with her. I never interacted with Dream or his content, the only times I ever watched him were during the DSMP era and I had never watched it for him anyway. I was mostly watching it for Philza, TommyInnit, Ranboo and Wilbur Soot tbh. He’s always got some drama or allegations against him and yeah, maybe some of them are fake but it’s still too much for me to even excuse them.

Hi Johnnie, my story was mentioned and i appreciate your perspective a lot and how you say it how it is. All i wanted was for people to see it and make their own moral decision of supporting him or not. I do believe he is using his platform in dangerous ways. My story is all legit but unfortunately i only shared about half of it before it got too overwhelming online. I want to say something here for people who may have been a victim in a situation like this and feel that because it was snapchat all hope is lost, it is not. I was groomed on snapchat and when I reported it the police took my phone from me for 7 months and extracted and searched through all of the text logs. I live in the UK so i have no idea if there are laws preventing that in other places. But, if youve ever been harrased or groomed on snapchat and think that theres nothing you can do because the messages are gone (which a lot of predators also rely on), they are NOT gone. The messages are saved somewhere on your device and/or on snapchats database, please report if you can

I do think it's weird that dream is trying to excuse his behavior for saying the other person involved was 18/ almost 18. Most people at this age still have a mindset of a minor and they don't immediately become mature enough for adults the minute they turn 18 even if they are technically adults. I just think it's gross and weird that it's his only excuse

From what I read during the whole Dream vs. Cantu thing, I think I find it disgusting someone would record Cantu having a drunken meltdown and Dream would post it as a gotcha moment since apparently Cantu is under the legal drinking age in America (he was 19). And even though he’s neurodivergent and pan, that doesn’t excuse the out of pocket things Cantu said obviously and I hope he changes for the better. And honestly, after seeing what Dream has been exposed for recently, I’m not trusting what the guy says at all.

The only reason he posted that video, he wasn’t even recording it by the way, was because Cantu was lying and saying shit that wasn’t even true.

Dream has no one but himself to blame for how he handled this whole situation. Man’s supposedly working a debunk video that apparently proves his innocence. It’s been over a year and he still claims to make it but is arguing on twitter making dozens of threads. kwite faced similar allegations and you know what he did? Got off twitter and gathered his evidence to prove his innocence within TWO WEEKS. Dream absolutely has NO excuse at this point

dreams not working on the video for over a year tho idk why people keep saying that. he said he didnt plan to make one at all and wanted to solve it legally, but the first accuser never pressed charges so after waiting a year hes making a video only now - i think its his actual second or third week into making it. his and kwite situations were similar at some point but not anymore, since people keep faking accusations towards dream to make him address more and more things, therefore making the video longer - and yes some people already admitted it was fake but not a lot of people care, they heard about another 'victim' and run with it

The thing about the messages is that you can change the names of people before ss, ive had it happen to me before and its happened to other celebs. not excusing gumballs va's actions, he definitely said a lot of messed up bs but it was stated that he was going though a manic episode (bipolar) while also under the influence. this does not excuse his actions however it does give us an idea of what was going on in his head at the time. not to mention the fact that dream was recording a drunk MINOR!! and then using the video as blackmail for whenever cantu decided to speak against him. the whole video completely backfired against dream when these facts came to light.

I know it’s a little personal but Im 13 and I struggle with anxiety, major depression disorder and ptsd from family and friends who really did me bad, and meds don’t work for me but your videos and music really lift my spirits.
