Bunta is not Keiichi Tsuchiya.... There's a short scene in the anime where Bunta talks to him on the phone. He's not shown but at the end of their call, Keichii gets called by someone and has to hang up. They said "Mr Tsuchiya, we need you". Although Keiichi did say that Bunta scared him for life haha

+DonaldJacksonDrift I noticed there's no endless limiter bashing or clutch kicking, great stuff at least the 10th time iv'e watched it haha
@M0rzone7 жыл бұрын
Clutch kicking is almost the same as side (e-brake) drifting, because you have to clutch kick to actually pull the e-brake. The big difference in the two is that when you pull the e-brake you are making sure that the rear wheels are locked. Both accomplish pretty much the same goal and like DK said those are novice/basic moves.

I appreciate how little understeer goes into the Fast drift. Makes sense. Show drift is for going sideways, and fast drift is for actually going around the corner as fast as possible(faster than the grip of the tires on their own with a Fast Grip run). My philosophy is that the idea is to get the car around a corner as fast as possible, even if that means “floating” the tires by making the most of the forward momentum and acceleration, without adding yaw to the front or rear- usually in an FR car that means there will likely be higher G’s in the rear than the front causing a slide anyway- essentially understeering(grip or slight slide) with the front even while counter steering, and oversteering(drift slide) in the rear, using the rear and differential’s abilities and tuning, to go push around the corner with as much speed as possible. I understand tires are the biggest upgrade a regular car can have towards performance, but I believe that a properly tuned suspension and differential makes more of a difference in how much the car can handle with whatever tires are on it, and how much rotational speed it can handle(G’s) without excess yaw(under or oversteer)

How hard or bad is it for an AWD car to drift?
@PsyArkron10 жыл бұрын
CrazyKnows With a RWD car you just lose traction on the rear wheels, controlling the angle of your car with the gaspedal. While you drive "normal" with the front wheels, those keep traction and guide your car. That won't work with an AWD car. Since you have power on the front wheels as well, the car tends to just pull itself back on a straight line. What you have to do with an AWD car is called all wheel drifting, you have to break the traction on all four wheels. Therefore drifting with an AWD car is *much* harder.

He proves that even though this is 18 years old that you don’t need insane amounts of horsepower to drift. Also these techniques STILL are essential to drifting even today he shows the finesse and footwork of a master drifter who has experience. Drifting today is all about flash and sponsorships and horsepower. To me the sport died long ago when it turned into a d**k measuring contest about who has the most money and who has the most insane set up that isn’t drifting.
