Huge fan of Leah Purcell. Can't wait for this to come to states. I truly believe I'd make a long trip to see this if necessary just make a vacation out of it. What a talent she is!!

The Play and the Novel were brilliant! Really looking forward to seeing the film. Leah Purcell has overtaken the old Henry Lawson Classic story and made it a new Classic for the telling.

A little history lesson- In colonial Australia (1800's) Drovers were experienced horsemen who moved or "drove" livestock (cattle, sheep or horses) on horsback from one place to the next, usually over long distances, which meant they were away from their wives and families for long periods, so their wives were strong, resilient, resourceful women who had to run the household/farm (usually in the middle of nowhere) by themselves. Looks like Leah Purcell is "owning" this role/character! She is brilliant! Can't wait to see this movie.
