Filoli Mansion is a stunningly beautiful estate located in Woodside, California. The mansion, which was built in 1916, is a National Trust Historic Site and is open to the public for tours. The estate spans a total of 654 acres, including a formal garden, a nature preserve, and a working farm. A California Historical Landmark, it is the mansion seen from the air in the opening credits of the television series Dynasty. The mansion's plush interiors were also featured in the first episodes of the series but were subsequently replicated on sound stages at Fox Studios, Century City. The house also served as the Stanhope residence in the 1997 film George of the Jungle and was featured in The Game in the same year.
The Filoli Mansion itself is a breathtaking example of Tudor Revival architecture, with intricate details and ornate features throughout the interior and exterior of the home. Went to the Carington mansion today for the second time. Had to play the Dynasty theme on that Baldwin piano in the ballroom.

I've been here three times with a girlfriend.Not a whole lot to do here,but walk around,sit around and took lots of pictures and then drove out to Standford University,shop at a Bloomingdale nearby,ate lunch or dinner on El Camino and than drove through Palo Alto,Cupertino,Saratogas,Los Gatos,back to San Jose and call it a day...😁

You can recognise some of the rooms from the Dynasty pilot and initial episodes. Looked like it had more panelling back then. Then the series recreated the house in a very scaled back and decorated fashion on film sets. And painted in pastel shades that would never have been used in the original house giving the sets a very particular 80’s vibe
