Great specie's spotlight... I'm just now working with my first planted aquarium, so I really appreciate you sharing this. I ended up with trying water lettuce as my first floating plant and so far so good. I absolutely love floating plants. (I'm not as keen on duckweed... I battled that stuff for years in the ponds in my horse fields and I would have never thought people would put it in their aquariums on purpose...😂) But it does work for a lot of people.. I like the color that this plant can add. Thanks for taking the time to share this with us!! I look forward to more videos like this! Thanks again Blake!! 👍❤️🐠🌿🌱✌️

My plant multiplies quickly and has a beautiful red color. What needs to be done to make it bloom? - little water movement; - light 12h; - temperature 24-25 C; - micro and macro elements; - pH 7.6; GH4; KH7;

i started with a small 1/3 cup of the red root floaters and its grown across the top of my big tank and i moved some to my 3 other tanks, the big tank has the right set up cause theyve been growing like crazy and flowering! the other tanks i set up to block the flow like on the big tank and now im just waiting for them to grow or not lol. they have been an awesome plant since i got them. i had a slight die off at the beginning but they settled in and started to grow! i have noticed a slight algae issue. theres a couple like blobs of bubbly algae next to a few leaves across the tank. ive been removing it but besides that its great! once i had a few bunches of the plant i started seperating some of it in different tanks with different conditions to see how they all grow differently too.

i bought a regular led shop light for 2 of my 10 gallon tanks to share, and my big tank i have the nicrew skyled plus. the shoplight is about 12 inches away from the tank and isnt that bright and the RRF are nice and red but they arnt propagating much and the leaves arnt big. the nicrew light i can change the brightness and has almost like a black UV light setting too. but the RRF in that tank they propagated like crazy, flowered and some are nice and red and some are still greenish but the leaves are almost double the size in this tank as my smaller tanks. i made small floating areas out of aquarium hose to contain the plants then once it out grew it i built one to go around the filters flow into the tank so they cant be pushed under water. when i had them boxed in they grew fast and was nice so ill see how boxing out the filter goes too. itll give the plants more room in the tank but i dont want the fish to not have any surface room. my goal is to eventually propagate enough to sell some!
