The Electronic Daystate Air Wolf - Power adjustment & Pellet Results

In this video we test the sub 12 ft/lbs electronic Daystate Air Wolf to see what kind of power difference it makes between the high power setting and level 2 setting. I also try a light-weight pellet, a medium weight pellet and a heavy pellet to show the difference that various pellets make to the power of an air rifle, and why some rifles may appear low on power from leaving the the factory, that the rifles are tuned to the most efficient pellet. This means trying different pellets to see how accurate they are, and how accurate they are. Shooting can be quite complicated to the beginner that don't always understand the differences that different projectiles can make.

Lost for words for you to take time out for me , That was a big help, I have spoken to them who do the heliboard And you can program it to wat ever you like, 12flb down over, or like you say up over, But sticking with UK law, You can really tune to suit the pellet, I also have spoken to Tony from daystate, The heliboard is £230 How much Tony's team will charge to correct the problem Every now and then I get one that's go that overmmmmm

Very interesting , may do that particular test on my MK4 , I suspect like barrels every electronic rifles will be a bit different in hi / lower power settings ... enjoyed that vid ..

i have to be careful indeed red wolf if i put a heavy pellet in on high power it can tip it over over for sure

Yes. The factory usually uses the Daystate Rangemaster Sovereign at 10.3 grains through the .177 rifles through their chronographs, or the 18.13 in the .22 for sub 12 ft/bs. They do try and keep them within the legal limit, and it does make sense to weigh all pellets if you want an official figure, but you can see why it’s definitely worth trying different pellets, especially if you can tune a rifle, which are in most cases mechanical, not electronic. In the case of the electronic, it’s down to Daystate to get it right at the factory, bearing in mind that pellet manufacturers are always coming out with new pellets to upset the apple-cart. Others will use a heliboard and that can solve, or make problems worse in the wrong hands.

@@airgunsniper-elite7385 i agree test sheet i have in the box is for 8.44 sovereigns and they were hitting 11.5 so a 10.5 grain pellet just tips me over the edge on high power not silky over but enough to get me in trouble with the range man 😱😱😱 to be fair i have it mid power if i am shooting slug or a heavy grain pellet because i know it keeps it in around 11.5 to 11.8 . however if you were not up to speed with it (see what i did there 🤣🤣🤣) you could well find yourself in a bit of trouble for sure
