The blood moon arc definitely needed one more episode. But i understand episode 8 existed so that anime only viewers could have breathing space after the whole emotional damage Cid gave Alpha. The credit crisis was good but it could have been better, especially Alpha vs John Smith and Getten vs JS sequences should have been longer imo. And the Oriana Kingdom arc was just so well adapted, i have no complaints except for a nitpick which is the final Atomic wasn't as good as those of ss1. I have no idea why they didn't add that bass voice effect in this second season.

Basically the best way to really describe this season was that it should’ve had a little more time in the oven. Maybe make it twenty episodes but delay the season by a year or so. Then again, I know they’re just trying to pump out content to keep eminence relevant. I just wish they gave the seasons more time to cook and give us a more fulfilling eminence in shadow experience.

You know during season 1 airing season 2 was already in production. I think they utilize all the remaining budget they could get from production of season 1 to produce season 2. Season 1 adapted four arcs each having 5 episodes. Season 2 adapted Three arcs having 3 for blood mood , 4 for john smith, 1 filler, and 4 for Oriana kingdom arc. To make season 2 better i think one extra episodes for blood moon and john smith arc totaling 14 episodes was needed. Overall season 2 could have been better but it was still good compared to other light novel adaptions we are getting.

While I feel season two definitely needed at least a few more episodes, it’s good for what it is and with the movie up next, it’s exciting to think just how far eminence can go before waiting for more source material.

Cid's John Smith persona is basically Walter if Millennium's procedure hadn't been defective and he decided to go freelance lol

Great review, but yeah, season 2 sadly just "Okay". Maybe it's my expectation that too high, the pacing is weird, it's okay but something is just feels wrong.

On the bright side, it's still a really funny season and while it has its ups and downs, it managed to create some good moments overall and even set up the hype for the movie which hopefully is really good.

Theres. was. something. cut. out and. that is that Beta fallows to japan. If. you. dont want. to. wait. read LN. volume. 4 which covers. what. will hapoen in the movie

That's a lot of periods. Also, I'm aware Beta came along thanks to watching the Kage Jitsu short for the finale which I checked out after finishing the final episode. I just hope the movie is as good as the rest of the show since you can never tell with anime movies.

@@JGCAnime unlike other movies this movie is covering the second half of the 4th light novel so its easy people who cant wait to know what happens in the arc-who. knows they might alter or change. things in the movie just like they gave an anime original ending in episode 12 of the season not man people know but the last seven minutes is anime original because CID and Beta run into Akane later in the arc

Well, we'll just have to see how things go since I've seen anime films that are taken from the books before and while some can be strong, there are others that aren't that good. Even so, I'm excited and hope to enjoy the heck out of the eminence in shadow movie when it comes out.

@@JGCAnime If you ever want a sneak peak checkout Volume 4 of the LN. becuase you never know how long it will take for the movie to come out 1 or 2 years

@@mikef.gonzalez655 I think I'll probably buy it but hold off on reading it since I really wanna enjoy the movie with as few spoilers as possible. So as long as light novel readers don't start spoiling things as soon as the movie gets close, it should be fine.
