I hate he only reflected he wronged Ruyi only after he got to know she is pregnant. Like he wasn't at fault.

I was just about to say this….this was one of the first clear signs that he would treat her horribly. Only after her suffering did he realize what he did wrong.

@@amoybrown8240 this wasn't even the first sign. First was abandoning her to the cold palace instead of defending her from framing. Truly, he first judge her , then he realizes there is sth more than an accusation and releases her but he doesn't apologize. He even blamed her for the death of their child when it was murdered while labor (the woman asisting made sure the baby suffocated and born dead!) And the Emperor believed in curses and astrology made up stories rather than comforting her after the death of their child. That speaks vollumes he doesn't know what is love and is not sincere even for her.

@@elzbietabetlej4085 thats so true… when she was sent to the cold palace he didnt even apologize. Even in the beginning when the Empress dowager was punishing Ruyi to stay at the prince manor while everyone moved to the palace he didnt do anything.

I feel so sorry for the servants. Every time a consort or noble lady kneels, they all have to kneel too and suffer along with her.

The consorts and noble ladies become their families pretty much. Alot of servants didn't have family so if their master died they have no one and no protection.

The thing I most love about this clip, is that the Emperor tells her she is pregnant, but Ruyi looks to Rongpei for confirmation, she doesn't trust him anymore.. She still loves him, but the trust is gone because of his behaviour.. This scene and the shared tea with Rongpei are my favourites, even though the ending was sad, she left with no regrets.. And also Suoxin getting married to her man, the ever faithful Jiang Yubin.

I love this show ruyi is my favorite. She's the best looking one n the strongest.they put her through hell.its sad she died in the end but he loved her the most.

The Emperor complains about all the women trying to "manage" him; but he continues to "acquire" women for himself(culture, lineage, self-serving desires). It is painful to watch how Ruyi, whom he claims to love, is treated.😞

He really acts like a child through this. Fussing because he feels the need to…blaming others for his mistakes. And then there’s that mustache…. Ugh, it’s bugs me so much! Lol. Also how can the doctors tell so much from a pulse? They do this all the time. So,done faints oh let’s check the pulse, she’s pregnant! Let’s check a pulse, oh she was poisoned.. like how does this work? Does anyone know?

Doctors back then are trained very well in feeling things with their fingers since the only way they can know is if they cut into the body. Any minute changes in the body, they can apparently feel in the pulse points and acupuncture. It’s very Asian way but is very effective. It takes them only a few minutes to know what is wrong with you. Also, they are trained so well that they can prescribe what medicine they can give you based on what they fell

Mandarin. I don't speak Chinese but "mandarin" is listed as the original language on Ruyi's Royal Love In The Palace Wikipedia page.

@@CensorshipVictim if you watch enough and often, you’ll slowly understand, like me. However watch dramas like this, easy to understand as they speak slowly and also you can guess.
