When I was 25 yrs old I moved from an apartment in Baltimore to a 5,000 sq ft house in Wichita on 8 acres with 3 built-in desks, triple car garage, a 12’ X 12’ cedar “closet”, swimming pool & stables. What meant the most to me - by far - was my very own washer & dryer. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed that pool and I bought a horse, but most near & dear to my heart was the washer & dryer because it made my life so much easier.

@@ginadurie8629 I'm about 4 years older than you.....and I too had a wringer washer, which I loved. It was new (probably part of the last ones ever made?). I think the cost was about $39, so it was affordable. I bought a new dryer as well (I'm thinking about $129). I was in 7th heaven, as prior to that I always had to go to a laundromat. I'm very curious about one thing ... the windows are beautiful, and bring in a load of light. BUT, what about privacy. Tub/shower and especially toilet are activities one would usually hope to have privacy for.

Jordan that brick wall looks amazing. Really that entire bathroom is so gorgeous I could live in that! Little heads up. The brick wall should have been braced to the side walls so it doesn't move and have gaps on sides. Unfortunately I learnt that when I added onto my brick building another room. Without bracing to existing wall gave me a huge gap over time. I am so in awe of you guys. The birth of Sadie hooked me to your channel. All your families aura just give me such joy. I so wish I could spend some time with all of you , I'm convinced it would truly be an inspiring and rewarding experience. Keep on shining guys!

I love your channel gyus, I've been following you since the episode of the wind turbine installation, but being Finnish this episode was especially enjoyable. Just one thing that concerns me is that I didn't see any air intake to replace the oxygen in the room that the fire burns up, you may have allowed for it with a large gap under the door or something else that I haven't noticed, but just wanted to bring it to your attention to make sure you don't asphyxiate yourselves while bathing

Make sure all your nails in the sauna benches are countersunk. Otherwise they can burn you when it's hot. The door handle has to be made from wood for the same reason.

Some concerns: If your stove catches on fire, or starts a fire, your exit could be blocked. Saunas can make you weak. Running into it on the way out could burn you. Will you be getting a fire extinguisher? Why didn't you put the stove in the back, and the seating near the door? It just seems safer.

Excellent job guys! Nice job on that Door!! (Just two things, 1. Id consider putting some bricks on the right hand sode of the stove aswell as it looks a fair bit closer to that wood than what you said the minimum distance is and if it's giving off same heat 360° you don't wanna risk cooking the wood or even warping it if its too close on the right if the moisture content is a lot less in that area, could crack/warp the wood if nothing else) -Thats ONLY thing i thought. And 2. Maybe use water and scrub brush to clean the bricks rather than chemicals for same reason you refinished the wood planks! Theyre porous, so You dont want it leaching out the bricks again when in use in with steam!) Great job though! Looks amazing! Proper funny at the end with the light! 😂 Have a great one and a well deserved beer! 😉💪👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

The brick wall looks amazing. But there should have been a 1" space at the bottom and between the Brick and wall so air can flow so the brick doesn't transfer the heat to the wall. Regular clay brick could have been used as well. I have installed hundreds like this and the wall behind is alway cool. It's called a heat sink. Metal or even the concrete plywood that's used there would have worked as well. Sure hope kept clearance from the foam insulation. One to two inches is usually required. The support wings go on the roof under the flashing.

I grow zucchini too. There are female flowers and male flowers. usually when the plant starts out there are a lot of male stems. Those are really skinny then the flower. The female stem starts the fruit right away then the flower is at the end. The female flower must be pollinated in order for the fruit to keep growing. So.... you can manually fertilize the female flower by taking a craft paint brush, rubbing the pollen off of the male inside part of the flower and then painting that pollen onto the female inside part of the flower. There is a 3 day or so window to do this. If the flower closes the time is up and it is either pollinated by bees or yourself. If the fruit is like 4" or 5" long and it starts dying, just clip it off and throw it to the goats. If you see the shield shaped squash bugs, squish them right away. The gray colored ones are the adults and the smaller white ones are the babies. They lay eggs on the underside of the leaves in exact rows and columns. Scrape them off with your fingernails. The squash bugs will eat your plant from the original stem out and ruin your harvest but if you check every morning for the eggs and bugs, you can keep it under control. Good luck with your ZZZZZZ's. "Plant a garden, feed your family. Plant Zucchini, feed the neighborhood."

As a tile setter for more than 20 years, I can tell you, on unglazed tile and porous stone/brick you use a sealer. You paint it on the surface, do your tuckpointing, then the sealer washes off with clear water. Concrete/colored grout will not penetrate the brick when you use sealer. The sealer is clear (think Thompson's Water Seal for wood) only for stone and brick. Sealer allows you to use black grout on unglazed surfaces.

Jordon just shorten the cord on the light and raise it higher so the door won't touch it.

Nice job on the sauna! Hope you all (y'all, yes I'm from the South) enjoy it for years to come! The exterior door frame... since the wind blows hard up the hill from the creek up towards the shop, would the door hinge serve you better on the windward (downhill side) side of the door frame? You could probably avoid some wind damage to the door and frame if you allow the wind to "close the door" instead of allowing the wind to "forcefully open the door". 🚪 wind 🚪 Stay Safe!

Now work on safety carbon monoxide and a lock that can be easily open from inside and never lockable from either side.

I like it when your helpers are in the camera, and when they express themselves its great. I know they lack English, but it doesn't matter, it's the smiles and character.

🎉 May I suggest building a Zipline from the top of your property where vehicles are parked........ 🙈 Attach a bucket for supplies and zip it down the Zipline to your homes!! ❤ Love Cynthia #davesandersstepdaughter 🏞

Rather than just a zipline, a ski lift type line that would allow returns from bottom to top for materials or very small people ? It would allow offloads of mat'ls from truck at top going downhill and returns of tools and other stuff more efficiently to top ?
