For those of you just joining us, welcome! We're Vic and Jo and we've been narrowboating around the UK for the last few years on our 54ft narrowboat Zero. Two years ago we decided to give up our jobs in the city and add another boat to our fleet in hope of turning it into a travelling cafe and becoming full time boating baristas.

Don’t be sad, you have had a wonderful 10 years on your boat and this is now the next chapter. Who knows, one day you may return to the water but in the meantime enjoy your time in the house. William will have lots of space to run around, you’ve got a washing machine on hand, no more running out of water, your bins will be collected from outside your door….so many new things to be grateful for! I am almost 82 and my wife and I have been married for over 60 years, and you both remind me of ourselves when we were a lot younger all those years ago, regardless of what is thrown at you - you cope with it, leaving your jobs in London was a gigantic leap but you not only did it - you did it successfully and with tremendous style, one thing we ask of you is please don't stop doing your video's - your fans, and yes we are your fans want to know how you are doing in your new home with your new venture, the very best of good luck to both of you and William, and thank you for the great entertainment you have given us all over the past 10 years.

I've followed you for ages and, since William's birth, have dreaded this day. Watching this video, I've felt quite sad but, realising this is a ''next step'' in your family life, I've brightened up especially as you finished your video with a ''See you next week'' message! William has pre-school to look forward to and he'll love to be able to 'share' with other tots his age. I am overjoyed that you're keeping Holly as this means we have future videos to look forward to! (I'm selfish!) Even if, eventually, you sell Holly on, please do continue making videos about your lives because I'm now hooked on you as a family -- and I'm nosey in that I want to know how you're all getting on. I think you’ve made the right decision for your life. In truth, I don’t follow your channel so much because you live on a boat. I just like you guys, your optimistic personalities, the way you take on each struggle with smiling faces, your little family. We did similar to you, lived abroad over 10 years then decided it was time for land life again. We still spent time on narrowboats, hiring and volunteering. And now 12 years later, we've bought a new narrowboat to spend our leisure time on. You have to do what feels right at the time, and dreams are always changing. Take care 😊

So sad to hear the news but can understand it as you have to put Williams safety first while he is so young plus the fact that you don't get to spend time together when you are moving both boats. My boyfriend and I recently moved in to a flat after living full time in our van for the past 2 years. Alternative living is great in many ways but, also very hard. It's a lovely sense of perspective when you feel so lucky for things other people take for granted, like having a shower when you want or putting a wash on so enjoy the little luxuries! It is a delight watching you grow as a family and that triggered our thoughts that Zero was never going to be a lasting solution as William grows and needs some stability for his schooling. As a 68 year old American who can't jump and run like I used to I want ya'll to know you did something brilliantly right in your life. You traveled when you were young. It's easier to travel with no money then with no knees and back etc. So many people wait to travel until it's hard to travel. Best wishes , the kids a fine looking boy.

I came late to the series and have binge watched a lot of your videos in the random order KZfaq presents over the last few weeks. I've lived the dream of narrow boat living vicariously through your videos and the reality is not as romantic as the dream for sure. Another chapter isn't a bad thing, William is another (very long) chapter in your life and that's great! I think the time is right to make the move as hard as it feels right now it will be for the best in the long run. As children grow older and school becomes a daily thing you do need stability there and Williams needs become paramount to anything else. I wish you the best of luck and it will be nice to have the extra space for you all.

I always had a hankering to live on a canal boat and enjoy the idyllic lifestyle. But then I fell in love with your channel and quickly realized that the idyllic moments can be overwhelmed by the realities of trying to keep up with basic tasks such as laundry, keeping the water tanks filled, the dreaded run to clean out the toilet. All time consuming chores that wait for noone and need to be done no matter the weather. I lived your life vicariously as I watched you from the comfort of my study with a glass of wine in my hand. And you did this week in, week out with good humor, great insights and candor that made it an addictive joy to watch. Then along comes young William to melt all of our hearts. I am actually relieved with your decision because as he enters the terrible two's and becomes an energizer bunny, suddenly living on a canal boat doesn't seem such a good idea. Your heads would have to be on a swizel and constantly on the alert. I somehow doubt that you will rejoin the rat race - you are both very talented and fully capable of carving your own niche in life; and I am looking forward to learning of your future adventures. It is a sad time for those of us who have been addicted to your vlogs. But thee has been a feeling that a time would come when more settled lifestyle will be necessary if only for the youngest of the crew. So he can attend school, and find out about a world outside of canals and rivers. See you all next week for a new adventure.

Enjoy the next phase of your family life. The house looks really nice and I could see that Zero had become too small since William. Babies come with so much stuff! You'll still have Holly if you have need for a cruise so you aren't really leaving the canals. Anxious to see what the Holly plans are.

To the most pleasant family on the cut, I suppose this move will have been on the minds of your subscribers at some stage, you have given so much joy to so many people and of course a great baking book (well done Jo) .
