That’s the first one I ever bought too! And I still have it 😊 I’ve now had as many as 24 tarantulas and currently have 16. They are wonderful creatures!

These were my absolute favourite and you setting up the commune coincided with my fear of spiders subsiding (largely thanks to this channel!) I think I remember one of these taking an unauthorised expedition to see Especito at some point, I could be wrong though

Hey Petko, I've seen other pokie owners/breeders leave their pairing couple to cohabitate for a while as it takes them a relatively long time to get down to business and they tend to get along with each other. Haven't I seen you also employ this method? Cool video though! Might have been more exciting if we had actually gotten a little "hubba hubba" footage, but they'll come along with that when they're ready.

For the spiders that are clumped in front of the lid can you destroy their webbing and throw them into the center again in hopes that theyll rebuild somewhere more convenient?

@3Clod I sent him an agate skull from Canada 5 years ago, I had no idea he hated skulls lol .. however he kindly put it in the new Balfour communal so cool. It took a while for him to like it lol

@@wandasteeves5239 I don't think he hates them but in an episode with exotics lair, the guy there had made some enclosures including fake plants and skulls underlining the fact that petko would not like it. And I think I remember Petko had made a video laughing about that knowingly.

He didn’t here 😊 he actually commented that it was interesting that the male lived in a communal with a (sibling) adult female and never mated, but as soon as he was in enclosure with Kat (non-sibling, much older female) he was doing what God made him to do! I think tarantulas must know not to pair with siblings. Pretty cool!
