Film your job dude, becoming a general aquatics channel sounds super intresting and I'd love to watch that. Also filming clients tanks and showing maintenance regime's and fixing aqaurium problems. You could also try your hand at aquascaping?! Really looking forward to the future!

Understandable. I’ve been all around the hobby, started with Goldfish, then Aquascapes, Cichlids, Stingrays, then marines; I’ve now come full circle. Back to keeping goldfish, breeding them and keeping the different varieties. Changes within the hobby are great! Enjoy what you do.

As someone who did solely fancy goldfish years ago,(stopped due to a major die off ) and picked up different freshwater fish(shrimps, nanos, SA Cichlids, etc) I completely understand this decision and am excited to see your next steps! There’s no shame in moving on from fancies, and focusing on other interests in the hobby! While I wish you shipped to the US so I can claim some of your beauties (lol!), you’re doing the best for your babies! Best of luck going forward, and looking forward to your new projects!

Its alright Chris, we should all do what makes us happy and I get what you mean with there’s not much more content to film since I am extremely satisfied with my fancies n the whole tank set up- unless I am planning to add more fancies I feel like this is it. I have my medicines n supplies all stocked up so I feel like what more can I really do for them- they are happy and so am I. I also really enjoyed your day in the life at your job, it was very interesting but I get it that it could be quite hectic doing your job and having to record it at the same time. Plus it could be quite interesting to learn about other types of fishes too- since I’ve only focused on fancies so just do what you like and see how it goes. Hope all your fancies go to good homes and get well taken care of because they really are phenomenal😊

Hope you dont quit! I literally just found your channel, What you are describing is what I go through every year, feeling like I want to leave youtube because I cant make the videos that people want to see, you then end up mass producing videos that don't do so well and it gets you down, I decided I will only make videos from now on that I want to make so that's no more filler content.

Really going to miss the fancy goldfish mega tank :(. However, I am glad you're branching out to other fish. Your experience in the hobby will be a helpful tool to other people in the fish keeping hobby. As for what I think is going in the mega tank....monster fish tank! Good Luck! Wanted to finally say hi for the first time. I kept orandas from 2021 to 2023. I don't have any fish now but after experiencing all the work that goes into maintaining a tank, I appreciate aquariums of all types and will definitely continue watching. In a similar story, I have a personal technology blog but I only post every 3 months or so. It doesn't seem like much but in my own experience I learned that the things you would do without a care for money or attention is what your true passion is. If I started writing posts on a schedule or had to deliberately think of new content, I would definitely burn out. I write only when I discover something I feel naturally compelled to talk about and as a result it's never once felt like a chore. You mentioned you've always done KZfaq for fun, so the correct way to run the channel is to do what is most fun for you. Looking forward to everything to come.

Even though I have goldfish now I still found tons of information from other fish keepers that have different fish. In the aquarium hobby it seems you never stop learning. Even something like you can use an old credit card/membership card to scrape algae off the inside of your aquarium. I've never even thought about using a plastic card! It's the little tips and tricks you can learn from a fellow hobbyists no matter what fish they keep that helps to keep you learning. If you would like to film different fish content I think that would still be absolutely beneficial to viewers like me!

Chris, you are such a genuine and passionate guy that I’d stay subscribed to you even if you started making content on the varieties of dust! You need to cover (and keep) what you feel enthusiasm for - and I can’t wait to see what other types of aquarium and fish you show off and share knowledge about. I used your channel to re-learn goldfish keeping last year, and my three water piggies are better off because of your videos and advice - so I’m sure your new videos about wider fishkeeping will help even more newbies keep happier and healthier fish of whatever variety you cover! I think it’s great that you’re going to share your knowledge and not just stick to fancies. Well, I just found this channel, and as sad as it is to see the goldfish go, I 100% empathize with the need to revamp your content around your passions to keep yourself engaged because in the end YOU are the one making the content. People shouldn't complain because they/we are getting ALL of this great stuff for FREE because you are an awesome person who loves what they do. Artists can't make good work if the spark isn't there. As long as the older Goldfish videos stay up (cuz I got a lot to learn still) I'm a happy camper! And best of luck as you move forward into new and exciting things! I can't wait to see what comes of it. Definitely staying subscribed! PS - have NEVER in my life wished I lived in the UK more than right now! LOL Those fish are G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!!

Hi Chris , thank you for all of the advice you have given me in the past about caring for fancy goldfish. I have learned a lot from your channel . Particularly on the filtration side . I would be interested in how you make sure that your goldfish will be going to good homes. I have 2 fancy goldfish in my pond and when summer is over I will need to sell them or buy a second hand aquarium for them as I don't think they are hardy enough to stay outside. However if I sell them I too would want them to have a good home. I am really looking forward to your future content as I really like garden ponds and different types of fish. Sad to hear, but totally understandable. If you want to create more content, you can't just stick to one fish or tank. Sadly thats what it is today. But i wish you everything good and i will stay subscribed👍 For the Facebook group i would love if you would do a goldfish only sub group, as i am already in hundreads of other all fish groups, and the fancy group had the best content for goldfish as in other goldfish groups

Keep the fish mate and just stop producing videos, personally I couldn't be bothered with making videos. It's very hard work for little reward. I just keep my fish. Enjoy your trip to Thailand,very well deserved, and be present there with yourself, don't view the whole place through a lens! Enjoy the experience.
