The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Hell ya and Semper Fi! I never knew that either. I would have thought it would have been a well known fact amongst Marines. They are lucky they didn't get sent to Vietnam. They were in and out before it could happen it seems. I just wonder how many years obligation they had , as in the video above, they apparently just got out of boot from MCRD? Can you imagine being in bootcamp with them? I don't think the DI's were nice to them haha they probably got extra punishment for being famous. True role models for all.

I was an auxiliary police officer in Brooklyn in the 80s and they were doing a summer show for Marty Markowitz and I was assigned to guard their dressing room. Phil came out and had a smoke and we spoke for quite a while about music as I am also a musician. We talked about the Beatles. Then Don came out and they were ready to go on. Even some of the food given to our Servicemen/Women today is shocking, outsourced to Sodexo. Where are the Military Chefs we once had? Cut backs…….that’s where they’ve gone!! The Marines get EVERYTHING as hand me downs from all the other branches (except certain aircraft and weaponry) and is a branch of the navy. so there was never any money for us. That is why they always taught "one shot one kill" because that's all you were going to be able to get. Only guys too skinny got extra food. I was literally 120 lbs and they told me daily, "if you lose one pound your going on double rations" and I saw them making other guys eat double (and then throw it up on the 3+ mile run after chow) and didn't want that so I ate as much as I could. and after boot , in the fleet, if you were not in the first 50 guys in the Chow Hall, you were going to eat lima beans and onions. no joke. they never had enough food in the chow hall.

it's not "another" one - it's the only one. They only ever wrote one song together and this is it.

There has never been harmony as beautiful as the Every Brothers And there never Will be again. Once in a lifetime. I hate that they're gone.

The Everly Brothers and R Lee Ermey were in boot camp at MCRD, SD Ca. at the same time I was in boot camp at MCRD, PI, SC. However, I never had the pleasure of meeting either of the three. I was aware of who the Everly Brothers were at the time. But...for the 'Gunny'...well he was then like me, not famous. I was one year older than 'Gunny', he having enlisted at age 17, but his serial number was lower than mine, making him senior to me. Now, I miss them equally...as US Marine Corps Brothers-In-Arms. Have A Nice Day...Molon Labe...Semper Fi

True, most music that comes roughly through MSM really not very good at all. But in specialized channels you can find very good music output of every genre. For example, if you type *BLUES* in *YT's* search bar, you can find all kinds of really kickass present day BLUES performers there. Same for every other kind of music.
