My favorite Gohan evolution moment definitely has to be when he has to deal with the trauma of watching Pikoro-san die right in front of his eyes. I also like the Ssj2 transformation. I personally prefer the emotion of seeing his mentor die. Especially since I am a big fan of both Piccolo and Gohan.

I sure hope that Gohan gets to shine a bit more in the upcoming episode; all the build-up needs to be resolved in a satisfying way. I'm just not really expecting much, with the current fighters left in the tournament. Would be great if DBS proves me wrong

They really need to put Gohan back as the strongest like he was meant to be. Nothing was as good as when Gohan went SSJ2 for the first time.

Gohan fighting frieza in his final form and landing punches on him had to be in the manga, in the anime he wouldn't stand against frieza's power.

I thought Gohan was 11 when he fought cell. 9 when he entered the chamber. One year in the chamber and there was an episode of it being Gohans birthday. Do these not count?

MalikJC Ya, that episode was anime only. Gohan wasn't 11 yet, but you're right that after the hyperbolic time chamber, Gohan is probably physically 10 even though he didn't stay in the hyperbolic time chamber the whole day

AnimeUproar any reason why we still call that aged gohan "teen Gohan"? Some people say it's a dub mistakes but the dub has been pretty accurate recently yet he's still called teen gohan.

+MalikJC I'm not sure if the dub refers to him as that. If you know an episode where they say that let me know. I do know that the games always refer to him as teen gohan. I also thought it was funny, but I think they did it for convenience. Older kid gohan or preteen gohan just doesn't sound as good

AnimeUproar I was under the impression that funimation dubbed the games in both language and text and I was referring to the games. I do know for a fact the dub says " now Cell will face a Warrior 11 years in the making" which is why I thought he was 11 years old.

+MalikJC In that case, they did change it from the original manga (unless they count when ChiChi was pregnant and the time Gohan spent in the hyperbolic time chamber + rounding up). After cell, the manga says that 7 years pass and Gohan is said to be 16, which would make him 9 during the cell fight.

i believe gohan is still holding back his rage will be unleash probably against toppo and probably against jiren something i like to call fierce gohan when loses control of his anger probably even attack zeno and all the angels gohan is stronger than goku he just doesn't like to fight only when he is pushed i surprised his tail hasn't grown back during the tournament that big bright ball in sky could act as a full moon if so gohan probably could go ssj4 or vegeta could create the fake moon but mystic gohan is 10x stronger than supersaiyan blue gohan could have beaten goku kaiokan he just doesn't like to fight only to protect his friends it be funny when gohan has enough and rage masenko zeno gohan is stronger zeno or am i the only who notice gohan tentions slow building towards zeno and the grand priest and all the angels i think it would be funny if gohan snaps and kills universe 11 last remaining members rage gohan is coming might be next arc but his coming just wait and see

Evolution of Gohan? Saiyan Saga: dead weight Namek Saga: Center character, still barely did anything Android Saga: So much dead weight they asked him to carry Bulma, baby Trunks and Yajirobi away from the battlefield (ps Krillen, Yamcha, and Tien were also there and available) Cell Saga: Finally his time to shine, still needs to see his friends getting massacred in order to get serious, but he does manage to get his shit together and finally do something cool. Good job Gohan. Early Buu Saga: decides "those guys I met on Namek were cool, I'm going to steal their poses and make a complete ass out of myself and completely ruin the cool character I was in the last arc." Late Buu Saga: realizes his mistake and does the Ultimate Gohan thing, which was really cool, until it ended abruptly. After the conflict he returns to being the Great Saiyaman part time, unfortunately. All of Dragon Ball Super: a shell of his former glory until the Tournament of Power and is still underwhelming

I could see Gohan, Goku and Vegeta having very different final transformations by the end corresponding to who they are. For Gohan, he seems to be on a path that doesn't rely on Super Saiyan and instead will expand on Mystic, if I remember correctly, Gohan himself said he's on a different path without Super Saiyan during the fight with Goku before the Tournament. For Goku, it would probably be something that involves Ultra Instinct as he didn't overthink his attacks near as much as Vegeta does according to Whis, which is why Ultra Instinct is more fitting for Goku. Vegeta could probably expand even further on the Super Saiyan line somehow and it would be a form that rivals Ultra Instinct, that way, Vegeta and Goku wouldn't always be using the same forms while still being evenly matched.
