I always thought that JoJo is one of the reasons Nickelodeon became girly (aside from Winx Club and Monster High) because she had hearts, rainbows, stars, unicorns, cupcakes etc on her merch. BTW, she had hearts on the letter J on her logo.

I used to love her on Dance Moms, she used to have this spunk, she was creative, outspoken, spontaneous and obviously meant to be a performer. Be whoever you are, but 2024 Jojo Siwa, kinda feels like watching cheese age thinking it'd be richer and bold and delicious, but it just spoils..that's it.. nothing else happens..

As someone who has never cared for JoJo's music I always loved watching the other girls and their mom's criticize JoJo and refer to her as obnoxious and over the top...I especially loved how Abby Lee always hated to give her positive compliments up until she came out of the closet

That JoJo Siwa could have evolved into Abby Lee Miller is not only conceivable, it might have been inevitable; after all, her mother agreed to put her under Miller's influence and both JoJo and her mom drew from it. That JoJo has always been talented is undeniable, it's her use of it that, perhaps, disappoints... KDM

She made the switch from child to adult when she did Dancing with the Stars, showing that she could do more than hip-hop. She needs to continue the switch by going to Broadway - in what piece? Revival of Thoroughly Modern Millie? She seems to have one volume - loud - so where else can she go with this? It can't be all stunt-casting like The Masked Singer.

This is what happens to a child "star" when they're so desperate for attention and who've lost their appeal with the audience who made them what they are. Her core audience (the ones who loved her as a tween/teen) all grew up and decided that she was too immature for them. The new kids who came after them weren't interested in her bubblegum schtick and followed their TicToc idols instead. In her attempt to regain some semblance of "relevance" and to recapture some of her fan-base (i.e. income generators) she resulted to this new, "edgy," LGBTQ...thing. She's hoping that all those little girls who loved her in their youth (who are now young adults), will now be on board with this new character she's created. I doubt Hot Topic is going to want to sell the new JoJo Siwa merch, so how is she going to make money now? I see a future in the adult entertainment industry before too long. Bless her heart!

The rebranding could’ve work if she did it gradually (2-3 years). I don’t think she’s “popular” enough for people to care about an abrupt change of image. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
