Throughout the Second World War, there were a ruthless set of German SS executioners known as the Einsatzgruppe. These were responsible for the slaughter of millions across occupied lands, but there was a commander of the group who was later executed at the end of the war for his actions. Werner Braune was a virulent Nazi and he was in control of Einsatzgruppe 11b who carried out a massacre of over 14,000 people at one point.
Werne Braune was responsible for the deaths of thousands of people, and during the Einsatzgruppe trial he was condemned and sentenced to death for his crimes. But he was executed a number of years later on the gallows inside of Landsberg Prison, but whilst standing on the trapdoor, the evil commander is standing there smiling.
