Inside of a Polish Prison alongside many other former guards of Auschwitz Concentration Camp, Franz Xaver Kraus was brought to his execution. He was led up to the noose, and he had been condemned for being a man responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands inside of the deadliest site of the Third Reich. Kraus was known for being a beast and a brute who made the lives of prisoners a misery and he was also known for being a murderer.

It appears that several Nazis with limited academic backgrounds rose to the ranks of Sturmbannführer (Major), Obersturmbannführer (Lt.Col.) and Standartenführer (Colonel) in the SS. I suppose that the qualifications that many needed to achieve these levels was the ability to murder with no conscience. Examples are Kraus, Eichmann and Blobel, respectively. They were certainly no scholars.

@@petertaylor6384 This guy was curious about gas chambers (having previously improved the 'murican electric chair, hence "Dr Death"), went to Auschwitz, took a piece of concrete from one of the walls and had it tested in a lab for traces of cyanide. Lab crushed the whole sample and found nothing detectable due primarily to dilution. What they should have done was test only the surface (i.e. where any cyanide deposits would be), but no one told them to look for exposure rather than content. Anyway, that moron took the one improper test result as "proof" and went on down a denial rabbit hole, fueled in no small part by demonisation from the likes of the ADL. Honestly, those guys are more at fault for this than he is. They should have just answered his questions and explained everything in detail rather than pushing him into the open arms of that cult.
