Fixing them is one thing but spare a thought for the genius who invented the diesel pump in the first place, unbelievably complex component that is the heart of the diesel engine.

Bosch invented it for the daimler Benz db600 series mainly in the bf109 planes. They had bad fuel and needed fuel efficiency plus it enabled inverted flight. They also through dB 600s invented nos and a reliable supercharger in that series to fly higher with low grade fuels. Technology hasn't changed on modern Bosch injector systems that are not electronic. I have the same style Bosch pump on volvo boat motors. Amazing pumps.

Besides cleaning and new gaskets, guess it’s a mystery what was the problem solved. I’m going with leaks as nothing was refurbished or replaced

That’s why you don’t fix them! Did you even watch the video? He shows you at least one part that was badly worn and then they balanced the whole assembly so each injector was getting the same amount of fuel.

Nothing was repaired. Cleaned, changed gaskets and balancing.

Idle ok, speeding up clear hammering. They were lucky the original built is close to perfection, but I bet that this engine will be used nonstop and develop more and more vibration. Very lucky.

It ran without oil on the test bench for 15 minutes - fail. The assembly room should almost be sterile. - fail

As we can see, these kids are new in using workbenches (and maybe also tables and toilet bowles). For safety reasons you should never put anything on these incalculable, very dangerous furnitures and use them only from safe distance.

Looks to me like they have a very well equipped shop with proper tools and a really nice test stand. Why do you feel the need to be so hateful? They are working and trying to make their lives better. Helping their community by providing a much needed service. Sad that people like you have to run others down to make yourself feel better.

Still looking for the torque wrench being used? Essential for the poppet valves, not that they even bothered to do a leak down test?, Just because a person can strip and assemble a mechanical device does not make them an expert. If I boil an egg does mot make me a chef. I spent many years in a pump repair room. as a diesel mechanic.

This boy's life, in a diesel shop as you put it, just started. He'll learn to do everything by feel. I fix small 2 and 4 stroke weed whackers, chainsaws for neighbors just by feels, except for leaf guages.
