@batlax18 from what I've seen the AIM-7MH just improves the lofting capabilities of the missile, which wouldn't help much in game since most encounters are medium to short range. the AIM-7P would be a more noticeable improvement since missiles would lose lock much less often

Aim-7P has no purpsoe in WT. It uses datalink. No datalink in WT. Not even AWACS. So no, Aim-7P would have literally no difference. The MH either as it just improves minor things from the M that have no effect in WT.

I mean not really, the F15 and all American aircraft dominate because they never faced an actual decent air force. it's not particularly hard to dominate when your opponent is a shitty 60 year Soviet export plane crewed by an inexperienced and poorly trained pilot who flies for a numerically inferior Iraqi air force that uses regressive and literal tribal leadership and has the inability to form air packages, carry out SEAD or have an AWACS. Wait until it faces the VVS or PLAAF in a fully mobilized war. Also you need to realize that the US is actual quite behind in Fox 3 missile tech, UK and France have the best - The Meteor and the Russians have the R77 and R37 which include new and pioneering technologies such as hypersonic speed, they also have next to no available data on their performance so don't try bullshit anyone by saying they are "unreliable". Meanwhile the US still uses 30 year old missiles with no changes. American strength is in its Network warfare and how efficient and fast it is at coordinating great numbers of aircraft. This matters more than than anything. The exact same thing as how the British won the battle of britain against an enemy that started with superior planes, superior numbers and superior experience. @@tunnis9690 Oh, you are right. Still, I'd argue a Su-27 is a Su-27, because this is not only the Ru army designation but also the factory denomination. Unlike US militar equipment, I.E. F-15, M1, M16, russian planes are not "renamed" to enter service. A AR-15 in use in another country would still be a AR-15 imho, even if the local armed forces didn't call it M-16 :)

It is true it is kind of mid, but keep in mind that the engines are on crack, has aim9m and I feel they turn quite a bit better than f14b overall, but yes it's not a Cas plane, and although you could basically sprinkle the map with flares in f14b, 240 flares is quite enough

For the record, the Su-27 is performing in line with it's datasheets in Sim and RB. I'm not surprised the RB performance feels 'weird' though, because those numbers are achieved at specific airspeeds. When using the keyboard to turn you're hitting maximum deflection and hitting maximum G, so you'll hit that instantaneous turn rate for well, an instant, and burn straight through it as you keep pulling. the optimal sustained rateis achieved at an optimal G, which is in turn achieved at a airspeed. Mashing the elevator key (i.e. pulling the stick into your gut) is exceeding that optimal G every time, burning off all your airspeed, and then making you come around at below the optimal sustained rate. Your radius may be smaller, but it took you longer to complete that circle. RB is just a massive 1-circle fest so everyone thinks their hot shit if they can go head-empty and make the smallest circle possible with no thoughts. In Defyn's Su-27 video he hit a maximum of 29.3 deg/s when he hit the right airspeed. Then, because he kept turning as hard as possible, the aircraft bled airspeed and dropped through 24 deg/s to about 17 (which is only about 2 deg/s slower than the F-16A block 10). With mouse+keyboard combined with WT's 1.5x G-loading you're pulling so many Gs in RB so easily you physically cannot stay at the right airspeed long enough to rate at the your best, well, rate. The same instructor that keeps you from getting into an unrecoverable stall in the MiG-21 keeps you from pulling AoA at low speed that would put you into a stall in the Su-27-- low speed authority be damned. But instead of doing a smidge of research and realizing that the same mechanics that hold your hand instructor are also responsible for the plane not feeling 'right', you want to blame it on Gaijin favoring another nation 👌👌

Most of the post WW2 NATO countries received massive Marshal Plan funding to rebuild their economies whilst the Soviet Union did it themselves whilst also helping a lot of the Eastern Block countries, rebuilding Warsaw practically for free after Germans leveled it. @@theliteralworst9416 what does the F4 and F14 being capable of dogfighting have to do with the Mig25 It was purely built as an interceptor, they have other planes if it comes to dogfighting. You're complaining that a sniper rifle is shit in close quarters combat because a standard issue rifle can also pick up targets at a distance and close up.

gripen is pretty overpowered it besides no good radar missiles it can 1v1 anything and has infinite countermeasures which makes it unkillable + its energy retention
