What a great band, especially when Jimmy Vaughan was still on lead guitar. I saw them open for the Stones in 1981 in Dallas. I also had their Girls Gone Wild album from 1979 on vinyl. I just downloaded the CD version.

Slim Harpo didn't he do this song?
@miguelteau8 жыл бұрын
+pattersonthomasj yep, the original version is by Slim Harpo ;)
@ThomasToussaint908 жыл бұрын
+MA Lonesome I think it originally came from a Frank Frost song called 'My Backscratcher'. What Slim Harpo did was write an answer to that song which is what the T-Birds are covering.

Stevie Ray himself lauded Jimmy's repertoire as incredibly extensive, and felt Jimmy to be the better talent.

Just like apples or oranges, wine or beer and so on. They are two different people, two different styles, two different approaches. You can appreciate better one or the another, or like them both but in a different way, and that’s it.
