Honestly, Poof was still fine and some episodes of that era are absolutely hilarious. But yeah, the Dog was downright awful and that Chloe character...never liked this sort of know it all goodie two shoes. And of course Butch Hartmann going completely wack with his weird agenda.

As someone whose read the pitch bible and seen the leak of the entire first episode I'm a little worried about some decisions. Hazel's design is very cute and she seems fun but, she has less reason for godparents then even Chole. Spoilers for pitch bible/episode leak Initially she's the new kid at school and she misses her brother, and while normally this would not be enough to get fairies it gets a pass because of how she encounters Wanda and Cosmo but the problems start with how * She has a very loving and very supportive family * Both her parents have high paying jobs so she's reasonably well off * She will very quickly make two best friends with the most popular girl in school and the most coolest person in school * She eventually becomes friends even with her one solitary enemy Frankly if loneliness was her reason for getting fairies there doesn't seem to be any reason for her to still have them after making friends with the two most popular people in school. The pitch bible mentions insecurities, but they don't seem to be any greater then the normal insecurities that every single little girl would have. Hopefully things will be tweaked from the pitch bible to give her another reason to have fairies. Also her BIO in the pitch bible reads "Hazel is fun, loving, kind, outgoing, smart, funny, creative and very, very quirky! Her one flaw is that she cares too much" and since this new series is actually being created and written by the same person who voices her, makes me fear she might end up being both a literal and figurative Mary-sue...hopefully not. I'm going to keep a open mind and hope for the best but I'm also going to expect it might miss the mark. also....what the pitch bible lists for Jorgen is....well...not good. He now has a pot belly, is more CEO then drill sergeant and apparently is obsessed with his two pet goats "Zelda" and "Cheddar" now.

Butch Hartmen is actually not directly involved in A New Wish; the listing of executive producer is a title where an individual can have either much to little say in a project, it pretty much varies. But it is also always given out to the original creator of an IP so that they get royalties for the project based on their work even if they have no hand in development of the sequel/reboot. This new series is being co.produced, created and written by Ashleigh Crystal Hairston who also cast herself as the voice of the main character Hazel.

This series needs to die it's been rebooted multiple times and on top of that each time it was "remade" it flopped spectacularly fairly odder was a dumpster fire that even paramount wanted nothing to do with it shortly pulling it off the service shortly after canceling it the original was ruined by new annoying characters that no one asked for when this dose come out I have no hope for it personally bring back Danny phantom invader zim all the nicktoon shows that needed to be rebooted this is just a big fat middle finger from nick to the fans.

The decision to make the main character of a reboot ANY type of minority is a calculated decision. Because, by now, most people know that reboots normally don't fare very well, so having a woman or minority as the main character in a [likely] poorly written reboot destined to fail makes for a great opportunity to blame the show's failure on racism and sexism... Effectively (and deliberately) adding fuel to the racial hate flame.

Oh great lets hope this isnt another woke reboot where they recast because of identity politics. Cosmo was always my favorite. I always give the reboots a chance. After the HBO Velma I told myself never watch these dumb reboots again but this was my childhood let's give it a try. Can't wait!

This new reboot looks ridiculous and the animation looks terrible! Just leave the Fairly odd parents alone it’s fine the way it is you don’t need to reboot it, stop rebooting every show and movie in the world come up with something brand new!

I like The Fairly OddParents. It's my favorite Nickelodeon TV series, followed by Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and the SpongeBob prequel series, _Kamp Koral._

The amount of adult crying over a reboot that’s supposed to be for our kids generation is hilarious this is not for us we had ours it is a classic it, it the originator but times have changed significantly so I feel as the new generation should have a more updated and inclusive show for them…I wouldn’t care what color the character was I’m black and I grew up with Timmy as long as the newer generation knows ours was better solely because Timmy nem was the one that started it all the original is always better 😂❤
